For sale is a Hottop model KN-8828D Electric Drum style Coffee Roaster. Perfect for the at home coffee roaster who wants to do more than many other home roasters offer. Includes everything you see in the pictures. Comple te ro aster with h eat gaurd s. Co oling tray and funnel. Original packaging or manual is not included. The manual can be found on Hottop's website and I will include the link for you. The roast er is in gre at working condition and cosmetically is good. There is some cosmetic heat wear. Which comes after normal use. The stainless steel does like it will after use and some scratches do exist. But nothing other than normal wear. The filters could stand to be replaced. Especially if indoor roasting. These can easily be found each for $10. For FREE I will th row in a 3lbs ... moreof green coffee beans to help you get started home roasting. Th is is an eas y to use simple machine that has a digital display and is capable of getting a reall y d ark roast if desired. Being that it is"Drum-Style" the beans are constantly turning to come out to a consistent roast. It has a chaff collection tr ay to easily do away with the chaff. The beans automatically eject into a cooling tray that turns the beans and keeps a fan blowin g from beneath. I w ould only recommend a Hottop for a home coffee roaster due to the amount of coffee that ca n be roasted and the personalization of roast you can create as well as the simplic ity. Our coffee roaster. We have owned this coffee roaster since 1995 when we imported it straight from Brazil. Originally purchsed from the Manufacture Leogap. That company is now part of the Probat coffee roasting company. The roaster can pretty well handle any amount of coffee up to 22 pounds per roast and normal roasting time varies from between 10 to 15 minutes per batch. You should have general knowledge of drum coffee roaster or you can also reach out to Leogap/ Probat in Brazil for guidance. This is a drum or basket made to hold green coffee beans for roasting. I bought this about five years ago from the person who made it. It was hand made from stainless steel in th U.S. But I don't have the name of the maker. I think I paid about $159 new. It was designed to fit onto the rotisserie of a small counter top oven. I was told it could also be attached to the existing rotisserie of a full sized oven or of a BBQ grill, although I've never tried to use it in that way. I did use it to roast coffee in a stand alone countertop oven, but only used it once or twice. It's made with six baffles built into the inside to stir the coffee beans. It's hinged and opens wide. My caution when using this kind of device is that it becomes very hot. All coffee roasters need a lot of heat, ... moreand the beans themselves will reach 400+ degrees F to roast properly. We ordered this roaster brand new direct from Ambex in 2005- didn't actually receive it until spring of 2006 and only used it for 2 years before expanding our business and upgrading to a 30 kilo Ambex. We kept this roaster to use as a backup and for years it has sat collecting dust. It is currently connected to a gas line and vented and fully operational if anyone would like to physically see it work. All in all. It has very few hours on it and is in great condition. We never had to use it as a backup! Roaster is black and the chaff box is under the cooling bin in the base of the roaster. All motors, gauges, temperature probes, and watlow temp control are in perfect working condition. There is a bean thermometer probe and an air temp probe. Up for auction is a Behmor 1600 coffee roaster. I purchased this roaster new about 1 year ago and have used it to roast about 30lbs of coffee. Altogether. Including cleaning cycles I’d estimate that this machine has well under 40 hours total run-time. The only reason I’m selling this unit is because I've decided to move towards a commercial roaster. So I no longer have a need for this small roaster. This roaster was thoroughly wiped out after every batch and ran through a full cleaning cycle after every roasting session(usually 3-5 batches) Although used. This unit is in very good condition. This Roaster is a Diedrich. The best brand out there. Attractive. Red"store-front" model. The IR-7 has a 7KG or roughly 15LB capacity. This roaster is in very good condition. Purchased in June, 2004. These things are like John Deere tractors in that they will last a long, long time. Works like new, has no issues. Has been well maintained through-out it's use and has been only lightly used. The Selkirk Metalbestos double-walled exhaust duct can be included as well, if desired.

Works Great! I usually roasted 3 to 4 pounds at a time because I wanted it done in 17-20 min batches. Has 3 cords. One for heating light, one for timer, and one for the motor to spin the drum inside. Runs a regular 110 circuit. I used it for a while but then my business expanded to quickly for this machine, so i had to upgrade to a bigger roaster.

This roaster works fine. We just aren't using it any more. It doesn't look brand new, but it's not brand new: The photos are of the actual item. It does have a small chip in the lid which you can see in the photo. I don't think this affects its functioning much if at all.

Please read the entire description before bidding. Up for auction is a Swissmar Bravi half pound home drum coffee roaster. I haven't used this in years and am in the process of cleaning out my storage unit so it's time for it to move on to a new home. I just powered the unit up. The motor turned and the element kicked on(please look at the photos– it's glowing red hot) When you press cool the side vent opens up and it runs through a cooling cycle. This is the important part: From what I remember there is an issue with the roaster involving the thermal probe. but I could be wrong? From what I can remember the unit heats. and heats. and heats but never fully reaches the top roasting level so you have to manually trigger the cooling cycle. The more I think about it. if I remember ... moreright. the beans from the last two batches that I ran through were baked and never reached the first crack. I think. that the probe is probably bad. It may just need a good cleaning. Have a loose wire, or? You may be able to modify this unit to not use the internal heating controls(Heat on full or off) and stick a thermometer through the side to allow you to run the unit manually but I will leave that up to you. So the roaster works.ish but is being sold as is with no returns and will take a little tinkering to make it run properly. Originally these roasters sold for around $300 and sweet maria's still has a description up on their website. I have had a few questions about the actual temperature being reached within the roaster so I just stuck a thermometer through the side door to see what temperature the roaster is reaching and it seems to be stalling right around 353f which explains why it keeps running since it never reaches the full roast temperature. For sale is a wonderful little 1/2 lb coffee roaster. The Alpenrost is becoming hard to find. Yet it is one of the few small roasters that will reliably roast a full 1/2 lb of coffee. The roaster is completely functional and has been thoroughly tested. The design of this roaster mimics the design of larger drum roaster, with the heating coil and convection through the chamber. Zach and Dani’s(now Nesco) Home Coffee Roaster This roaster was bought used in excellent shape off ebay and had minimal use before– just as I was getting serious about buying different roasters to try different methods of roasting– I was ordered off caffeine. Thus it’s had no more than ten roasts. All had terrific results. The Zach and Dani’s. Which is now rebranded but largely unchanged as Nesco, is particularly good at lighter roasts, from City up to Full City+, yielding bright and balanced tasting results, even in the darker roasts. The Zach and Dani’s uses an unusual means of roasting where a vertical augur in the center of the roasting carafe lifts the beans up over a hot air heating source. This is a manual hand cranked coffee roaster styled after the big commercial jobs and designed for use on a BBQ grill warmer burner or a portable camp stove or other compact single burner heat source. Originally suggested as a stove top roaster. But I wouldn't recommend that unless you have a super powerful exhaust system, because of the smoke. Great collectable cast iron metal item. This would of had a metal box it sat in. In the box you would light a fire with coal or wood and roast coffee beans. I do not have the bottom part but it can be constructed if you wanted to complete the item. It is a simple primitive design. These are rare to find. This part is in decent shape as the door slides open and close easily. The wooden handle has some cracks and heavy wear from age and use. It is an antique item so expect the normal wear.
