This fabulous Art Deco period display cabinet was originally located in Maine. In a department store, and was used for displaying cosmetics. Where the back-lit"DECORUM" reverse-etched glass sign is now located(and it's not included in this sale) in the top of the middle unit, there was a carved wooden sign, in script, which read: COSMETICS(I sold it years ago) Your own sign will adorn this space. For the last 30 or so years I've used this showcase as my primary"selling tool" for Art Deco antiques. In two locations. Believe me, when objects are perched in this showcase, they gleam and glisten and in no uncertain terms are elevated to stellar heights! I typically sprinkle small lamps around, on each shelf, and they very nicely light up the objects surrounding them. ... moreThe two columns have lights inside the top element and these illuminate the objects on the three curved shelves below. I've installed strips with three sockets each on the top shelf of the two shelves underneath the"counter" and these nicely illuminate those areas. The top sections have sliding glass doors which open effortlessly(they slide across ball-bearing strips) and there are standard sliding locks on all these glass doors(many have chips where the cosmetics salespeople carelessly locked them, but these have never presented any problem for me; the locking mechanisms largely hide them) The righthand slant-front display cabinet has glass on top which has some scratches from normal handling. The wood facing. Which is probably maple veneer, is in excellent original condition. The interiors have been painted(years ago) in a very pale pink color and that paint is in excellent condition. In other words, this display cabinet is ready for its next incarnation. This cabinet would make an excellent back bar for a bar or restaurant. As there's endless(fully adjustable) shelving(all glass on the top units) for the display and housing of liquor bottles or. whatever. And of course the two shelves down below can be use

Vintage Leather Covered Amber Glass Bottle Decanter Piel Legitima Made in Spain. It's in very good condition. This is a rare find and highly collectible. It's covered in embossed leather depicting a two headed bird& shield with a lion and a tower. On the topper there is what appears to be the head of a conquistador. The stopper is attached to the handle with a metal chain. The original tag it still attached. On the bottom there is what appears to be a crack(see last photo) but it's just the a manufacturer imperfection when the glass was cut after it was hand blown. The bottle rocks a bit when placed on a flat surface. It measures 11" tall with the stopper and 6 1/2" at it's widest. Payment is required within 72 hrs of winning bid.
