Old Stainless Steel 15.5 Keg Stroh Brewery Co Worn from use with lots of scratches and dents. The side has no wooden bung in the bung hole. It was removed to drain the small amount of old beer that was left in it. Keg may have a vinegar odor because evidently that's what beer turns into after 20 odd years. They used to remove the bung from the bung hole. Clean the keg, refill with beer and put in a new wooden bung with a mallet. The bung hole itself is smooth(unthreaded) and is 2" in diameter. All kegs(both 15.5 gal and 7.75 gal) used to have the same size bung. New style kegs are cleaned and filled through the hole on top by removing the ball valve. Replacement bungs are available at for $1 ea. This keg was purchased several years ago from a brewery that was changing over to the ... morenewer style kegs. This one had a yellow band painted around the middle but it's mostly worn off now. There is an extra fitting at the base of this one that isn't on any of the kegs I have left. Marked The Stroh Brewery Co 12-68 on top. It measure about 22 tall x 16 dia. and weighs 34 lbs. This keg will be shipped USPS. As is, with a label on it.

Up for auction is an old 1956 Adolph Coors 7.75 gallon empty aluminum beer keg. It stands 16" tall and is 14 1/2" OD at its widest point. Other than being very collectible it could be used for many things. If intended for re use with a liquid it has had 4 small holes- 1/8" OD) drilled in the upper rim which would need to be filled. Easy fix. It also has the original plug inside of the keg and would need to be taken out. This is an older used beer keg that has signs of use such as small dents, dings and scratches.
