This was originally made to move a very large satellite dish. It's rated to push or pull 1/2 a ton with steel plate for mounting. I have used it as an electric steering box for a radio controlled lawnmower with a battery and an inverter. It runs on AC 110v. Really easy to hook up. There's a common wire that would go to one leg of the 110v. Then you hook one of two other wires up to make it push or pull. It has a relay and some switches inside but I have only used it as described above so I don't really know what the switches are for. I think they are a safety so it will only extend or pull so far. Hello All! I have a used Thomson linear shaft and bearing set- 4 of them! Each shaft is anywhere between 10-11" in length. 5/8" diameter. There are two bearings per shaft. You get what you see in the picture(except the tape measure) These came from a inking machine. There is either a small indent and/or flat spot at the ends of the shafts. That's all I know about them.
