Very cool vintage Coca Cola menu/ advertising lighted sign. Works 100% turns on and off correctly. The main body is in great shape with no cracks holes or breaks. Includes only letters visible on the pictures. Letter holding plastic has some cracks and there is one crack on the graphics section. Otherwise in good shape. This is a great"Cheers" Menu Board w/ chalkboard. It has a picture of a waiter pouring wine. It can be propped up against a wall or there is mounting string on the back to mount it on a wall. Vintage Castagnola. Fine Sea Food Restaurant over the water, Fisherman's Wharf, San Francisco, Calif. 4 page menu, on light cardboard, not paper, menu. Not sure of vintage, but told by person purchased menu from he was told it was from the 1950's. With the highest priced item on the menu-$4.75 for a broiled Filet Mignon- to half a lobster for $3.25- a Martini for 60 cent, Western" beer 45 cents, it would seem to fit that tine frame. There are 22 meal choices on center section of menu, under caption"Castagnola Recommends" with 20 in 2.00 price range& the highest item $3.50 for Lobster Tails. Tomasco Casagnola came to Fisherman Wharf, during the days of its establishment at its present location in the year 1900. He& his family owned& operated the restaurant ... moreuntil sold in 1976. He continued to run the restaurant, as a family business, until his death in 2006. After his death, his step daughters& families continued to run the restaurant. It is the oldest continuously operated restaurant on the Wharf. The menu is 7" x 13" still in very good condition, but does have a crease in the center of menu,see scans for better idea of condition) however there are no tears, writing, etc. From a smoke free home& out of our personal collections. I'd thought of using this at my shop to write discount messages, etc. but never did. so it's been stored in a box for years! I am thinning out my ridiculously large Halloween collection and I thought someone else could use this piece for sure! One fun thing about this particular piece- On the back it's signed by Bonnie Barrett but you can tell it had been something else before she used the board for this particular artwork. There's sort of a scroll at the stop of the back; Perhaps the witch was to have held a scroll. We will never know for sure! Offered is a lovely. Vintage, hand carved, standing picture frame or menu board easel. It is made of quarter sawn oak, along with original glass cover& brass& metal hardware on the back. This was a wonderful vintage find. In a small town near Ely Cathedral, in Suffolk County, England, in 2000. It measures 24 5/16" tall by 14 10/16" wide. Thickness of the wood is 11/16 of an inch. Its back support piece is thinner. At 3/16 of an inch. It weighs 4 1/2 pounds. This support piece comes out about 10" from the frame& it lines up easily again with the frame for easy transport. I think it is well made. Very sturdy, with no loose parts(excepting the back, brass pieces, which easily swivel, to allow for easy change of a picture, menu, or announcement) Actual area for menu ... moreor picture is 11 9/16" long by 9 9/16" wide. It comes with its original picture. Depicting an 18th century scene. At the upper left of the print, are the words"Cumberland House, D. Irwin from Carlisle" This is a reproduction print of a famous oil painting by George Morland, Trepanning a Recruit" I am including this little print with the auction for the frame, as this is the way it was found. It can be easily removed to allow for other items. Estimated age of this easel frame is perhaps 80 to 90 years old. But could be older( The back support is connected to the back of the frame with a sturdy. Knotted rope/string. I believe all parts to be original to the piece. The pig sits just over 16 inches tall on a 5 inch base. I do not know what material it is made of. It feels like a hard resin. The pig is white and has some discoloration which is suppose to be there. It has four little blue spots on the back of the pig's ear. I don't know what it is. Looks like marker.
