The inner section is meant for coffee or hot chocolate or similar and there is an outer jacket for water. This unit doesn't have a heating element built in. I know for a fact that this works with Carlisle/Toppo. Dixie and San Jamar because I have those here, I suspect they all fit to a certain standard. To be sure the width of the attachment slot is 1 7/16" at the top and 1 1/4" at the bottom those dimensions leaving a little slop, also the length of the slot is 2" I have another identical stand that has a complete four sided holder top and bottom, this one just has the bottom(could be moved to the top) with brackets on three sides. A replacement bracket for the fourth side is available in another Ebay store for 1.74 and I'm sure the entire four sided assembly is available from Carlisle and others. I believe that Stawell is now part of Burshaw/Cona/Stawell. This is a vintage/retro teapot so it's very well made and rather attractive to look at as well. I think the handles and knob are Bakelite and all are very sturdy and not at all loose. Inside the teapot. As you can see from the photograph, is a removable tea strainer and I'm sure you can buy new ones of this if you want to. The teapot hold 6 pints of fluid and has no leaks at all. It shines up very nicely with a little silver polish and a quick rub over. I think this would look lovely in any setting.
