Amazing piece of homebrew test equipment. The machining of the 1/4 inch thick aluminum is very professionally done. As is the rest of the construction. I am guessing this was meant to mix an unknown frequency with an internally generated frequency and heterodyne the result to somewhere. Though I'm not sure why you would want to do that vs. just measure/ examine the unknown frequency directly with a scope, for example. Be that as it may. The output is spot-on at 4 MHz, 2 MHz, 1 MHz, 100 KC, and 10 KC. At the very least you can use it to generate those frequencies. The speaker is an 8 ohm Jensen. About 5" and in good condition. the equipment does generate an audible tone. The cord is starting to dry out. I don't know that all features work as they should. So this is being sold for ... moreparts, NOT WORKING. It's pretty heavy so be aware.
