I date it to the 1950s because there is no zip code included in the address and the abbreviation for the United States is U.S.A. Zip codes were introduced by the USPS in 1959& during that time period. Manufacturers, etc, began using"USA" instead of"U.S.A. Beautiful colorful labels were attached to wooden crates holding fruits or vegetables in order to catch the eye of buyers. However the introduction of cardboard after WWII gradually eliminated the use of labels. Thousands of those labels remain unused& have become popular"kitchen art. They have retained rich. Distinct colors. This is an original example of the labels which were lithiographs. The colors are still vibrant. The ... moreinks used were a higher quality than today's& have held their colors much longer than do the inks of today-not to mention. Anyway, that the vast majority of labels, posters, etc. today are photocopied. In photo 3. At the very bottom, is the name of the lithography company that printed this label. Mint condition walk in cooler/ freezer combo. This was in a Duncan Donuts location that was opened and then closed after only 4-5 months after opening. You walk into the cooler which is about 6x8. And then walk into the freezer from the cooler. This was $26,000.00 new. Other than maybe a very minor scuff here or there from taking it out, it might as well be brand new.
