Here we have a Robobuilder 5710K Robot Kit from Robobuilder of Korea. These kits sell new for over $600. Additionally. The controller has been upgraded with the Robobuilder bluetooth adapter(a $50 value) so you can program and control the kit wirelessly from a PC or Smart Phone. This kit has seen maybe 15 minutes worth of operation. Works great, though I think the battery might need replacing, as it sometimes errors out when running just on battery. Works great while connected to external supply. Also, one of the eight screw holes in one of the knee brackets is broken(I think I overtorqued the screw, I'll post a picture shortly) but does not affect operation at all, and you have to look very close to see it. I also own a Robotis Bioloid kit for which I have written a good bit of software. ... moreAnd bought this unit because it uses the same microcontroller, and I figured it would be easy to port my code to this, but after playing with it for a bit, I found that the command protocol for the servos this robot uses is a bit more convoluted than the ones for the Bioloid, and since I don't want to write new firmware for the servos, I decided I'm going to part with this to focus my time and money on the Robotis gear.
