Agilent HP 3580A 0-50KHz Low Frequency Spectrum Analyzer Mouse over the photos to see whats happening. Since if a picture is worth a 1000 words I can be less long winded in my descriptions. Frequency range of 0-50KHz +30 to-140db range. 1, 3, 10, 30, 100& 300Hz BW. Quite usable as it is. But needs to be aligned and calibrated to bring it into the specified specifications. Amplitude is off a few db or more(1& 3 Hz BW's) and the 300Hz BW(3rd pic) the signal has a hump. Everything else works properly. It's on frequency and this has digital storage. The original battery pack was removed decades ago because it was basket case what with the ancient NiCd being very much dead and corroded. The corrosion fortunately stayed in the pack. Just add two 12 volt batteries and it'll be ... moreready for field use again. The CRT trace is bright and sharp. Both handles are there and intact. There are no bent controls. The tuning knob is miraculously not broken but the tab on the sweep time/div knob is broken off again. For some unknown reason the cover over the CRT socket has a hole with a grommet in it. For sale is a used Agilent/HP model ESA-L1500A Spectrum Analyzer. It is out of calibration. The unit failed the Resolution Bandwidth Uncertainty test@ 100 KHz. The unit is beyond End of Support. And repair is not possible through Agilent. Limited calibration is available for other bandwidths. The unit may be repairable, but not through Agilent. The unit still seems works fine, but not for the work environment it was previously in. This is potentially a great deal for someone who needs a spectrum analyzer, but is not in need of full calibration.
