This is a wonderful NON ELECTRIC stovetop autoclave for medical. Dental, piercing, tattoo or grain spawn sterilizing for mushroom or bacterial cultures. Works fine recently tested. This one has been used for tattoo exclusively. I recently upgraded to an electric autoclave. The only difference is a few hundred dollars and that you have to actually sit there and watch the pressure gage on this one(or at least you really should! but it is fast and sterilizes in about 1/2 an hour and has quite a bit of room inside. I used it with no complaints for about 5 years and is built to last. It shows signs of wear and discoloration on the inside from normal use and is a very sturdy device that is fully functioning and tested. Has very minor pitting on inside bottom and I couldnt remember it had always ... morebeen there so I contacted the manufacturer(All American) and they assured me it was absolutely safe to use and that they are common and due to tiny bubbles of air rising to the surface in the aluminum molds they use and that they dont polish them out to keep the prices of the units down. This is a testament to the awesome customer service of this company. They responded the same day and also have replacement parts in production for the unit should you ever need anything advice, manuals ect. This unit is intended to be used without a gasket and you grease the rim of the lid instead for a tight seal. This is great because you never have to worry about worn gaskets giving out.
