You are bidding on this vintage HIGROPANT HH65S Universal Scale used to Measure Electric Resistance in grains. It was made in Spain by I.E. Argos S.A and I think it dates back to the 1950's or 1960's. This apparatus measures about 7 1/4" by 4 1/2" 2 1/4" deep. The electrodes that plug into the top are missing. I can't test it so I'm not sure that it works. Although it is in very good physical condition. The back battery compartment is clean and it is hand marked 3v + 3v. It comes in its original brown leather case marked on the front HIGROPANT. Also included is operating instructions and 10 conversion table card for different grains, rye barley, wheat, etc.

This tester is in good condition. The case has a couple of creases in it. There is a little staining on the rubber clamp covers. The three round plastic screw covers have some chipping around the edges. I have not tried this to confirm if it is working or not, but judging by the cosmetic condition I would guess it works fine. Awesome piece of tech history. A Weston Model 1. D.C. Millivoltmeter with velvet lined leather case, original calibration card and key for lock. Meter is in fantastic shape, no cracks or chips in plastic case, no cracks in lenses. Leather case is in great shape, but does show a little wear. I took high resolution pictures of all sides so you could review for yourself. Someone clearly took care of it all these years. The words"Touch tone dials DC- Millivoltmeter 20/50/100/200 range#65372" have been carefully engraved in the front flap of the leather case lid in cursive. A white stamp with the words"TOUCH_TONE DIALS" is also on the front flap of the case. Card shows the unit was tested at the factory on June 16. 1961. Front of meter is marked"Weston INSTS. DIV. I read on the internet how the thing works and I tested it according to my understanding of the information I read. When I connected the black lead to a motor electrical lead and the red lead to the case(ground) Cranked the handle and pressed the test button the needle stayed over on the left side of the meter no shorts. When I created a dead short with the leads, cranked the handle and pressed the test button, the needle went all the way over to the right side of the meter indicating a short. WESTON ELECTRICAL INSTRUMENT COMPANY. NEWARK N. J. MODEL 30, 4458 Seven patent dates running from November. 1888 through July, 1901. 8.25" long. 4" wide, 3 5/16" deep. 4 lbs. 4 oz. There are three terminals on one side labeled LC40, C, LC38. Two terminals on the other side are labeled MC+ and MC40. Wood is cherry with some minor scratches and dings. Glass is unbroken. Metal name-plate is pitted but legible. I think this may be some kind of D.C. relay. But not sure. I thought it looks like a coffin when you look down in it. Comes from the estate of a serious radio. Electric instrument, audio and video collector. It was stored in an unlabeled cardboard box that disintegrated when opened. Check back for more items from this 60 year collection.

Here I have a vintage Westinghouse single phase Type CA 3 wire 240 V USA electric meter that is complete with glass globe! Overall great looking condition with no breaks to outside or glass! It is serial#20 379-296 Type CA S.976661 15 Amp 240 Volts. No rust to metal but slight wear to paint on the line load cover. Nothing bad at all! It is as found so I do not know if it will work or if repair will be needed but it would be a gret parts meter if anything else! The inside looks good and clean and complete. The size is 9" long with the hanging latch on top included in the measurement. 5 3/4" tall from back to top of glass globe cover and 6 1/4" wide.
