I enjoy the Franke Flair. Saphira and Jura Swiss espresso machines. They have been easy to operate and fairly simple to maintain. I'm mechanically inclined so that aspect is easy. The electronics are a bit more to deal with. This machine was purchased but the plug could not be used in my location. Most of the larger parts are interchangeable with the Flair, Saphira, and Jura Impressa machines. I'm currently unable to operate the coffee business, so I made the decision to sell a couple machines. This one is for PARTS ONLY- or restoration if you are willing and capable to do needed repairs and adjustments and locate missing parts. I haven't even used the machine. It's possible it can be restored. Gaggia Americana 1977 2 group VINTAGE lever pull. For sale is a 1977-79 model year Gaggia Americana. This is a propane/ electric espresso machine that has had a high level of modernization. This machine has a lot of history behind her and has quite the linage of historical footnotes in the annuals of Espresso machine history. An espresso machine of this caliber comes out all of once a year. The only other machines in comparable class run upwards of 10k plus. The chrome is in good condition. The paint schema is in very good shape and does not need work. Everything is period authentic except the wiring harness and safety(And for you techies out there it’s an RL-30 auto fill box) The lever mechanisms have been professionally rebuilt by our co-op workshop in Seattle with Republic Espresso machine ... moretechs. As for systems on board the gauge is original stock period authentic. The element runs 26-27(in excellent shape) The sight glass seals are in good shape. The piston seals are in functioning order and have the asbestos bars/gasket arrangement. The chamber walls are smooth without nicks or wear. The lever action is smooth and consistent. The propane assembly looks to be in good order with igniter. Hot water tap has minor flaking on chrome assembly but still maintains good cosmetic condition and working order. The handles are period authentic. There is a modified pressure relief valve on board and a safety unit in case of overheats. I don't know anything about espresso machine but this turns on. I have the instruction manual for it as well. I have NOT tested it which is why I'm listing it so low. It will need a 220v plug because it was hard wired into the wall when I got it. Fully commercial machine that had been used in a coffee shop.
