I am selling my used. But working great, Nuova Simonelli Oscar Plumbed 1 group black espresso machine. I purchased this machine completely reconditioned from Espresso Rescue 1 year ago and have it at my office where it is used twice a day. This machine is better than the regular ones you see as it is the professional one that connects to your water line with an ice-maker hose. The Oscars have one quirk. They cannot be put on a timer due to the fact that pressure must be bled off the tank every time it is turned on. It is a design flaw that they all have. I'm an energy nut so I wanted mine on a timer to run days only. I installed a specially designed internal vacuum breaker to correct this problem and now this machine can be put on a timer and automatically be ready for use in the morning ... morewithout running 24/7! It works great and they all should work this way. IF YOU BUY ANY OTHER OSCAR YOU WILL HAVE TO OPEN THE STEAM VALVE AND BLEED THE PRESSURE OFF UNTIL IT WARMS UP THEN MANUALLY CLOSE IT. Another enhancement I made was to add an under-group LED light so you can see your shots better. The Oscars create a shadow under the group head making viewing your shots difficult. Starbucks has definitely been instrumental in creating the myth that La Marzocco enjoys today and always will. This work horse espresso machine. Manufactured 4/7/2005, was refurbished 3 years ago by a local restaurant supply company and was used extensively by a local bakery for 2 years. It was in operation 7 days a week and was very dependable. The seller has replaced the spray heads, dispersion baskets, and filterholder gaskets. This machine must be hooked to a water supply and it runs on 220 Volt 18 AMP circuit. It was in full operation when disconnected one year ago. It has not been reconnected after the spray heads, dispersion baskets, and filterholder gaskets were installed, therefore, NO WARRANTIES are made as to what might need service when it is reconnected. In 2008 I got nervous of the economy going south and I saw an opportunity to open a road side coffee/hot dog stand. I know. Bad combination. I had always thought the spot was great, and it became available so I went for it. Turned out it was ok- not great, but more importantly my wife hated running the thing. In her words she felt couped up in a box. After only a few months we packed it up and sold everything, but the espresso machine that is. I have 2 Astra Super Mega fully automatic espresso machine which I have bought year ago. The coffee machine is capable of producing 16 different drinks at the touch of a button.
