This Labconco 5530-000 Vacuum Desiccator Chamber has been my personal desiccator. Was taken from a fully functional system and has been well taken care of. This auction includes a bottom tray and 2 shelves. The valve and gauge function as they should. Hinges. Door and latch function as they should. Just for your reference. I've used an Alcatel 2021 Vacuum pump with this desiccator for freeze drying purposes. It has worked well with no issues. It holds a good vacuum pressure with a tight seal. This item is in good cosmetic condition with some minor wear including scuff marks and scratches but this does not effect the functionality of the item. The on/off button is in good condition. The glass trap is in good condition with no cracks or chips. Please refer to the photos below for more details on the item. This item was plugged in and powered on without any issues. The compressor started immediately and ran the entire time we tested the item. We used an inferred thermometer to measure the temperature before we tested the item and it stated 67 degrees F. This is a complete concentrator system in one unit that you can roll around the lab. We used this console unit in our lab for several years and it shows the usual signs a wear. But not much. There is a scratch on one side from where we pulled it in and out of the spot where we stored it. Still works as far as we can tell. All lights go green on the console. Centrifuge turns(see picture) heater heats, cooling system cools, vacuum pump sucks(i.e. it works OK as far as we can tell) The unit should ship as two pieces. The console weighs about 80 pounds and the vacuum pump. Which weighs about 40 pounds. We could put it all on a pallet if you wanted to ship it that way- your call.
