There are some minor scratches here and there, some of the housing paint is off as well as the dosers outside appearance. Pls see pictures! I did clean the grinder just recently. Which means taking out the burrs and deep cleaning the inner part of the grinder. I did not adjust the burrs, so you need to set the grinder for your desired use. If you send me an email at the end of the auction with an request for adjusting the burrs I will be gladly do that for you. Up for sale is this true gem that needs some TLC. I bought it from a local consignment store this afternoon since the weight and color caught my eye. I did some research based on the label and was able to determine the maker as listed in the title. The previous owner ran a local coffee shop until she shut down last year. The machine sat since then and will need some TLC. It powers up and spins well. The machine is very heavy built with quality in mind.along with lots of power! There is NO LID to the coffee bean hopper on top. The power switch is slightly crooked but cuts on/off fine and lights up. The lever works and will push grinds through the spout. As you can see. It does show lots of wear and scratches. I took it apart and soaked parts in water before drying them off. It has been tested for the most basic function only. I was able to power and use the unit to grind some coffee beans. I found it to work pretty good but I was unable to get a fine grind. The adjustment knob will only dial to Fine Grind which looked more like a medium grind to me. I could not get to the super fine grind. It may need some adjustment and maybe a new spring. I checked the grinding wheel and it looks to be in excellent condition. As you can see from my pics the cosmetics are clean. But with some normal wear. This is a beautifully restored La San Marco espresso grinder. It functions perfectly. Only tested since all the modification& restoration work was done. So it is in excellent condition. It is Italian made and was completely stripped of it's original orange and brown Powdercoating. Then re-powder coated in a cream and red. Mahogany inlays were added to the fluted grooves on the sides and rear for a very custom appearance that would look great in a home, coffee shop or restaurant. New bean hopper& lid.
