I bought this coffee grinder at least 15 years ago. Intending to use it with my old Hobart meat grinder motor. No such luck. My Hobart power hub is a size 12, from what I've been able to learn on the web, this grinder requires a size 22 power hub. A size 12 measures 9/16" square, a size 22 measures 3/4" square. The web tells me that some older 80-140 quart Hobart mixers had a size 22 power hub. So today is the day that I decided to find it a new home, today is the first time that I ever disassembled it for inspection. I ended up with coffee brown stained hands, discovered some vintage ground coffee inside! The insides, as you see, look great! It also looks to be complete, the grind adjustment seems to operate smoothly. There is some manufacturer's marking inside, I tried ... moreto include it in my pics, because I could not make it out myself. Since I have never been able to actually use& operate it myself, I am forced to sell it AS IS. It is VERY HEAVY, measures 9" high X 12" long, 8" wide at grinder plates. I did not attempt to clean up it's exterior, as I did not want to further harm it's gray painted finish. One screw has apparently been replaced(see pics) It does NOT appear to me that the top throat has been repaired; it seems to be the original weld construction. AS I STUDIED THE PICS THAT I TOOK TODAY, I NOTICED A SMALL CHIP IN THE TOP OF THE FRONT SECTION. I REALLY THOUGHT THAT IT BELONGED THERE, AS I INSERTED MY SCREW DRIVER INTO THAT SPOT IN ORDER TO SEPARATE THE HALVES. This adaptor allows a 60 quart bowl to be used on an 80 quart mixer.The reducer ring is missing one of the pieces that secure the bowl in place. I think a simple modification could allow the ring to be used properly. Posted with eBay Mobile
