One fits tight against the side walls and the other one has probably an 1/8" space all the way around. Antique ENTERPRISE MFG. No.35 Sausage Stuffer Patented APRIL 10. 1888, and JULY 11, 1876. This piece is in absolutely beautiful condition. There is a little chipped paint and rust around one of the feet and a couple scratches. The lady I bought this from said this came out of her grandfathers general store and has been in her basement sense they closed the store and that it was in all original condition. Except she did say that her husband cleaned the rust off of the small plate. Everything works nice and smooth, the handle has no damage. The only thing I did to it is wipe the dust off. Here for auction is an early Enterprise Press. I believe this was used for sausage stuffing. And a price for cider, wine, grapes as well as processing duck and lard. The press has patent dates of 1876 and 1883. I am not certain of the size but believe it to be a 1 gallon or so. It measures approximately 27" tall. The handle turns the gear nicely and believe that with a little cleanup will be a completely useable press. The 5lb vertical sausage stuffer has a stainless steel base and cylinder and all metal gears. Clamp the stuffer to a table or counter top and crank out perfect sausage every time. Comes with 3 stuffing tubes: 1/2" 3/4" and 1" Cylinder removes for easy filling and cleaning. Air valve release pushes air out the top instead of into the casing.

We recently bought this unit for use in our butcher shop- it works like a charm but the size sausage that it makes isn't right for our uses. The sausages that come out are about 6" long.
