This coin changer changes a quarter to 1 dime and 3 nickels,or 2 dimes and 1 nickel, and would have been used in an arcade setting back when nickels and dimes bought the same things quarters and half dollars buy now. It plugs into any standard 110 volt wall outlet,and works every time. It only uses electricity for the split second when it makes the change,so it can remain plugged in all the time. It makes that familiar sound of the solenoid energizing along with the coins clinking to the tray. The light on front comes on when the machine needs filling. This is a super nice NORTHWESTERN gum machine which has been themed in Coca Cola. The machine has a glass globe with a glass of COCA COCA and the COKE SPRITE BOY on the front of it.On each side of the globe is a nice COCA COLA fishtail logo which says DRINK COCA COLA. The lid is RED with the word ICE COLD on the front and a CHROME stripe around it. Check out the great looking RED DIAMOND design on the front of the machine. LOOKS GREAT.It also comes with the lock and key. It stands 16 in tall by 6 in wide. There is a COCA COLA SODA BOTTLE inside the globe. Really looks cool. The machine is red and white in color with GREAT looking COCA COLA graphics and stripes on all 4 sides. Check out the GREAT looking old school COCA COLA 6 PACKS on both sides of the machine with the coke sprite boy. On ... moreone side of the machine on the RED base it says IN BOTTLES in WHITE letters with CHROME stripes around it. On the other side it says SOLD HERE in WHITE letters with CHROME STRIPES around it. This machine has a 25 cent coin mechanis m on it and it has an adjustable vending wheel which will vend gumballs up to an inch and a half. And found that the compressor works, and rapidly cools down the cooling-block on top of the unit. After several minutes of running, we observed thick frost on the cooling block. After a few minutes more, the internal thermostat shut off the compressor. About 5 minutes after this, the unit had warmed back up enough for the compressor to resume running, and the block rapidly cooled below the frost point again. We were also able to verify that the drive-motor for the in-bowl sprayer operates correctly. Please see pictures below or more details on this item. As many of you know when one motor quits on a Dixie Narco can soda machine the entire machine can become out of service. Sometimes these motors freeze up causing the machine to be stuck 1/2 way in a cycle or the brakes go bad which can cause a free vend situation. This item is in good condition with some minor cosmetic wear from normal use. There are a few minor scuff marks on the plastic casing of the item but this does not effect the functionality of the item. The function buttons are in good condition as well. One of the plastic mixing rods is broken in half but this can easily be replaced. The plastic containers are in good condition with no cracks or chips. We turned the refrigeration button on and the item started to cool immediately. This is a Maytag Skybox drink vending machine. It does run. But it does not get cold, I repeat it does not get cold. It may have a Freon leak, I'm not sure. I could not locate it. It is in great condition and has worked great up until just recently, where it no longer will get cold inside. I'm selling it with the stand which I attached it to. It also comes with the drink cards that go on the front to designate what drinks you have inside. The manual is enclosed that it came with. I originally paid $900.00 for the machine and the stand.
