It is a great looking unit except that the power supply appears to have been damaged so it does not power up and is being sold for parts only. Note the nice looking airflow volume meter on the front. There is a built in air pump to pull air samples through the unit. The largest component in the image below is a black battery with an aluminum 4-way strap over it. the image above shows a glass/quartz tube with some sort of element inside it with what looks like Teflon ends.
