You can see some rust through the back cover, this is a piece of sheet stainless. The top half of the cover was missing when I got this, and it has been replaced with a machined piece of heavy gauge stainless. Works great. Motor runs nicely and sounds good, lid is in great shape, and has had the hinges welded up to fix some splitting from years of use, and the welding job was very nicely done. Moving parts all in good shape, including slide door, and the latch lock piece is there, and the wing nuts as well. Vintage commercial grinder. This came out of an old country store. It is made by General Slicing Machine Co. Inc. New York. It has some rust on the hopper pan but we did just use it in processing venison. Motor is old school 1/3 HP that you can't stop. I put a whole back strap through this and it popped out some lean burger without slowing at all. I have 4 cutter knives and 3 plates. 2-3/16" plates and 1-1/2" plate. The plates are Seelbach plates(3/16) and VBW(½" The knives are Hubert#12#10& 10 and an etco. Has a reset button on back and 2 oil lids. If you have any questions just ask. Weighs around 50-60 pounds and is about 20" long all put together. The meat tray is 15"x10" and the throat is 2 1/4" across. We think it will fit a Hobart but can not find any stamps or markings to confirm. The upper housing measures just under 3" diameter. This classic Hobart meat tenderizer/ cube steak machine has been collecting dust in the basement for a long time. However I just gave it a cursory clean up and plugged it in and it still works like a charm! I just ran the piece of cardboard seen in the second picture through it and it came through looking just like the cube steaks we used to make with it back in the day. It will need a more serious cleaning and probably some oiling up. But should be ready to go otherwise. There is a crack in the plastic safety cover but I'm sure you can super-glue that. All the knives in the drop-in unit are present and accounted for. I tried to post a link to a video of a similar unit(model 400) in action but ebay won't let me.
