I shall leave you the option of paying more to do more for you(read below) 1st photo shows 2430A passes self-tests. 2nd photo shows optionally available Tek P6063B switchable probes(both 1:1& 10:1 200Mhz with readout switching; sealed/new; read below) Before digital storage scopes evolved into small lunchbox sized surface mount populated fluff boxes in the late 90s. There were digitizing scopes such as the Tektronix 2430A that actually contained normal size parts that can be worked on with human sized fingers. ... moreSo unlike with newer DSOs, this item does not become e-waste first time it breaks. Tek labels the 2430A as 150MHz/ 100 Megasamples/second. Analog scopes should not be used close to their upper bandwidth limit, digitizing scopes carry the same caveat even more so. It is recommended for use at under 50MHz. Whereas a non-storage scope can only display what happens after triggering. A digital storage scope can also display what happens before triggering, and this is its main advantage it's like a time machine. You will be bidding on a vintage 1954 Heathkit Oscillscope. I do not know much about these. Except that this model was introduced in Aug 1954 and made in Benton Harbor, Mich USA. When this one is plugged in the green light does come on, and it will change with the turns of the knobs. It works on both settings in the back- the internal and the external. The case does have a few scuffs and scratches, also a light layer of dust. All the knobs are in place, except for the lower left hand red one, which I have replaced with a electrical cap. I purchased this new around 10 years ago and briefly used it then put it back in its packaging and placed it on a shelf in the lab. You just need an older(cheap) computer to run it on with Windows 97. It may work with Windows 2000 but I haven't tried it. I'd just dedicate a Win 97 machine to it.

This auction is for one(1) IEC Type 5DEP1 CRT. It is in excellent. But untested, condition. A word about this tube: I acquired it from a friend who bought it from the estate of the late W9VSU, Ed Derversian. Ed was well-known in the Chicago area as having been the last lab tech for Dr. Lee DeForest, inventor of the triode vacuum tube. I knew Ed fairly well, but was not able to attend the sale of his estate. This tube has its factory box, and Ed had put a label on the top which said"New" However, I can not sell it as new because of one difficulty: The tube type number was apparently applied as a stick-on label, not ink-stamped onto the glass or tube base. The label is missing(see photos) but should have been laying in the box if the box was still factory-sealed. With the label missing, ... moreI can not sell as being a new-old-stock item. It is therefore listed as"used" but may very well be unused- no way for me to know. Unfortunately, the factory seal tape was broken. As you can see from the photos. The glass envelope is in excellent condition. This is a true flat face CRT, 5" face diameter, using electrostatic deflection. It is electrically the same as the 5DEP2, which was used in Knight, and other, brands of oscilloscopes. The difference is in the phosphor, with both the P1 and P2 phosphors being medium persistence(ideal for"normal" oscilloscopes) but the P1 gives a green trace and the P2 gives a blue-green trace. I recently sold a Knight KG-635 scope which used the P2 CRT. But anyone having one of those(or a similar scope) could use this P1 CRT just as well. This tube would be an excellent choice for anyone needing a vintage tube of this type to restore vintage equipment from the 1950s thru 1970s or as a working spare. Up for bid is a used but working Heathkit IO-4225 25 MHz Dual-Trace Oscilloscope. This was my own personal scope so you can be sure it hasn't been sold and re-sold a bunch of times. It has been well cared for as can be seen by the photos. Only one or two minor scratches in the cabinet. Everything seems to be in working order. Although I didn't try every last feature. Our Boy Scout Troop received a donation of an RCA Model WO-56A 7" Oscilloscope. It is fairly clean. And appears to work-that is it lights up when I plugged it in. A green spot appears and the controls seem to work. BUT-I don't know anything about oscilloscopes and can only say that it appears to work. Here are some basics on this model. I am guessing that the unit is complete. It appears as if a very quiet cooling fan was added to the rear of the item. I would prefer a pick up. Rather than shipping. I traced this to the leaking electrolytic capacitors on the A5 board. ... moreThis is a very simple and very common problem with these scopes. I replaced the caps. Cleaned the board, and chose to also replace some of the SMD resistors and ceramic caps nearby that showed damage from the leaking caps. You can see the work in the very first close-up of the circuit board. Note that the cap at the other end of the A5 board was also replaced(not pictured) All of the power supply voltages measure correctly at the test point on the main board(I may update the listing with +/ percentages but I can't find my notes) I've put a lot of care into bringing this scope into operation. According to the Exerciser 05 test. It has less than 1000 hours of operation and under 350 power cycles(I've added a couple to the 320 number shown) but this number can be changed by the user so it may not be accurate. I have not changed it. However, I can tell you that the interior is spotless and all of the screws made that satisfying popping noise when I loosened them for the first time, indicating to me that this machine has never been opened. I cannot guarantee that I've fixed everything but it appears to be fully operational. I have not had it calibrated but it's spot on with the onboard reference signal(see pics)

Up for auction is this Velleman HPS40 handheld oscilloscope. In like new condition. I purchased this a few years ago for field work and have only used it a few times. It was very well cared for, and includes everything that it originally came with, including the case, protective sleeve, probe, PC data cable, and manual.
