Item in pretty good overall shape. It features 2 speeds, cast iron top and base, 9 ltr capacity. The actual handle that you hold while turning is sticky. I don't want to force it so I'll leave it up to the new owner. The mechanics of the machine work great. Smooth up and down in both gears with no binding or notchy feeling. The gasket is bad as seen in the photo. This would make a great edition to any old school butcher shop or your home shop. Measures approxiamtely 28 high, 15 wide and 10 deep. Works good with no chips or cracks and is complete with all the parts that came with one of these. we cleaned it up pretty good but still needs cleaned some and will have some very minor rust that will remove easily. This is the big one that you don't have to be loading all the time. I am going to pack it right away so if i clean it without greasing it it will rust up slightly while waiting to be sold. Weighs 50 lbs before packing and will be even heavier once I double box it for shipping. Even though cast iron is extremely tough it is not impact resistant so it needs padded well. Complete with large plate. Small plate, spout, nut, basket and sieve plate. These things are amazing and so well built. The heavy mechanical press is cast iron. The gears. Cast iron. The grate, cast iron. The crank handle, cast iron. Besides its gorgeous high relief lettering and mammoth round 8 quart barrel, which make it a great decoration, this thing has a lot of years utility still left in it. Believe it or not the still make these things but the new ones(which for all intensive purposes are identical tech) are approximately $600. If you are looking for a nice alternative for an all silver duck press, this is it. It would look just fine in a restaurant setting and is just at home in ma and pa's kitchen. One thing that is nice about it is that it has a longer handle than the smaller models and is easier to crank without it walking around on you. Additionally ... morethe handle is less interfering with presentation than a hand turn round cork screw of a formal duck press. The chef need not look like he is sports training, if you ever used a formal duck press, you know what I mean. The basket and nozzle on this item is perfectly fine but if you are looking for brand new baskets and nozzles, chop-rite sells them. Its 44lbs and the diameter of the barrel is 8 inches diameter and 8 inches deep so it most likely can handle your kitchen and restaurant needs.

Big commercial grade sausage stuffer. This is top of line type of machine. It comes with the 2 plastic tubes shown in image. Works as-is. But to make it more better you should prob get the o-ring gasket for groove on plunger piece(try getting the 6 1/2 ID x 6 11/16 OD on amazon for $0.67, yes cents, will prob work fine, or you can go the expensive route and get OEM gasket- as if the company actually makes the gasket anyway) Machine is like 30 years old and has very similar design as new unit which costs like $1800! Tip of the smaller tube has a crack and small piece missing. Shouldn't effect stuffer performance. I am not original owner. It's been painted a few times I think. This lot offers the nickel plated cast iron handle shown in photos. It does not have a company named. And I cannot be really sure what it came from. I am guessing it came from a kitchen press of some sort and not an outdoor farm tool. The handle needs to fit on something with a triangle shape. The measures within the triangle are just over 3/4 inch per side. There is also and extra hook feature below. Once this crank was on it could not possibly slip! The piece has the marking"A52" The condition is very good. There is some pitting on the nickel. But this is not a piece that was buried in the ground for decades, much nicer than that. This is a nice press that has been kept in an industrial steampunk motif where the patina. Rivets and gears have a nice aesthetic appeal for decorators and restaurateurs who don't want the old black and gold look so common. It is a nice red and blue so it is perfect all American décor. It works fine and can be used with the existing basket and strainer plate. Commercially one might look into Chop-Rite spares on the basket that would allow it to be as functionally desirable as possible. The basket is fine for home use but the welds on the tabs are not 100% see the pictures) and would likely become an issue with heavy use. What you see is what you get. I completely broke these 2 units down gave them a good cleaning and light seasoning as you would a cast iron skillet. I gave them fresh paint. Detail and period correct decal. The 2qt. is not complete it needs a horn, crank handle and a large plate to be complete, you can order them off eBay for under $50.00 or you can swap the parts from the 4 qt. because they are interchangeable. The small plate on the 2qt. appears to be repaired but is functional. Upon purchasing the 4qt. and after looking it over I do not believe that the horn is original. Big commercial grade sausage stuffer. It comes with the 3 plastic tubes shown in image and 1 crappy metal tube. I don't have the crank handle. Was using a socket and socket ratchet. Think it's 3/4 in socket. Will include the socket but keeping my ratchet. You can use your own ratchet. I am not original owner. I cleaned it recently to best of my ability. The teeth of that long shaft have some rusty filth. I tried to clean it but it's still in their, you'll want to clean again. It's usable as-is fine, just not too pretty. If you have a wire brush that might be best way, or with some brus on dremel tool. The meat saw says Foster Bros. It's 23" I think. Not the worlds greatest but it's perfectly fine to use.
