Here's Sound ST-1700 B Distortion measuring system. This is the later production version with additional jacks on the rear to use with the Sound Technology 1200A Stereo Test Panel. This is in excellent cosmetic and operating condition. All of the functions and indicators work excellent. You can see my test sheet in the last picture. The 1700B has several useful improvement over the"A" version. There's a"signal off" switch which really speeds up s/n radio measurements and the"Analyzer select" allows a quick check of the generator output(level and distortion) with isolated grounds. It's not necessary to use the internal generator for THD measurements. I've used this to check some of my lab generators for distortion. The measurement are easily made ... moreusing the notch frequency(high low) indicators. Another really nice feature is that the generator output level control allows continuous adjustment from about 100uV to 3 volts( 80 db) w/o being"touchy" This took some pretty tricky engineering. Manual introduction: The 1700B combines an ultra-low distortion oscillator. A high resolution automatic-measuring distortion analyzer, and an accurateAC voltage power meter in one instrument. Pushbutton operation permits the operator to quickly measure voltage or power(8 ohms ext load) set level, and then measure distortion. Please review all 12 HD Photos before purchasing. This is a used Quest 2700 Impulse Sound Level Meter. It is a little dirty. Mainly from the foam which is in very poor shape. Speaking of the foam. I'm talking about the foam in the carry case, it is in terrible condition and the glue or adhesive is breaking down creating a sticky mess. The tools are kept in plastic, so plan on purchasing a new carry case. All that aside. The instrument seems to operate as it is designed. I tested the unit extensively as I know how. The only issue I found is on the OB-100 Octave Filter Set, the"Time" button is missing. I assume there should be a button there. Please see photos.
