This is a very nice used EXTECH Digital Sound Level Meter. The meter has a sound level readout in dB as well as a bargraph that shows the sound level in graphical form. You can see from the front pictures what the various buttons do. It is great to take the unit to a store or a construction site and measure the noise level. The specifications for the meter are shown below. I have used this meter to balance my home theater speakers and it works great. Sometime ago the meter lost its original battery cover and I made one from a piece of black plastic. You can see this in the backside picture. It doesn't detract from the operation or the looks of the unit. The unit comes with the sound output cord and a CDROM with the operating instructions that I downloaded from the internet. This mic worked perfectly 30 years. And has been in dry storage ever since. You get everything you see, including the 4145 capsule, box, cal chart, and desiccant cap. Back then, it was calibrated at a Bruel& Kjaer service center for sensitivity, a swept response was done with an electrostatic actuator, and the corrected curve plotted. I do not have a preamp, but I did check it for leakage with a capacitor checker and A-OK. I guarantee it to be OK, or you can return it for a refund.
