I fed my signal generator thru this at 50 ohm with the 50 ohm setting and my amplitude readings were perfect just as if it was a standard 50 ohm only analyzer. and with 1.8 ghz you really dont need to have an N connector. bnc works just fine up to 1.8 ghz without any loss.

The standard model only goes to 22 ghz. this one actually has option 26/27 so it has an upgraded ytf which allows for better frequency response past 22 ghz up to 26.5 ghz. plus it has a full span( high band) 2.9 ghz up to 26.5 ghz or so. it was upgraded after first sold so the 26.5 ghz is not on the nameplate but you can clearly see it has the upgraded ytf inside when you remove the case and it also has the full 26.5 ghz span. this im 100 percent sure of as this analyzer is my expertise. I even compared the same part number with another unit with the 26.5 ghz on the faceplate to make sure) this has the n type connector but for no extra charge I can swap out the n connector to 3.5 mm which makes it opt 26 otherwise its option 27 now that it has the n connector. sold ... morewith 30 day right of return. has opt 23 the rs 232 interface with keyboard interface. FUNCTION Switch: In ON, the analyzer is set for normal operation, and the sound energy will be indicated in each of the ten filter bands, from 31 Hz to 16 kHz. In BROADBAND, the 31Hz filter channel is made broadband, responding to sound energy across the audio band. DECAY TIME Switch: In FAST, any level indication at 0 dB will fall to-10dB in from 2 seconds(31 Hz) to 0.5 second or less(500 Hz and above) if the sound is turned off. In SLOW, the decay ... moreor fall time for 10 dB is about 20 seconds at 31 Hz, decreasing to about 6 seconds at 500 Hz and above. The response to a sudden increase in level, the attack time, is short in both FAST and SLOW. When monitoring music or speech, and you want to see the rapid level changes, use FAST. If you are going to run any sort of test that is going to use pink noise, SLOW must be used to get a steady, stable display on the analyzer.
