The frequency measurement seems accurate but the power level is about 4.4db to high. I am not very familiar with operating this unit so I may have incorrect settings. HP 8593E Spectrum Analyzer This unit is in great cosmetic condition, it is missing the bumper rails and the handle. I noticed a slight trace of rust on two steel screws on the back of the unit so I decided to pull the panel to have a peak at the innards. There is some oxidation on two of the circuit boards. It powers on with no hesitation and it stayed powered on for about 5hrs. It seems to function as intended and runs through the self calibration normally. After 5hrs. I do not know how to test any of this equipment, so just to make certain, will be selling as a parts/repair lot only, even though they might work just fine. Some of ... morethe items we got in this big lot had some repair tags on them, so I pitched those right away. These did not have any repair tags on them, so figured they were somewhat functional. Did not come in with any power supplies, but I did find a couple of power supplies that would work fine. It says it take a power source of 10- 15VDC, no more than 1.5A. The two I found were both 12VDC, one having 1A and the other having 1250mA. Not original, but will work. 1Amp gets a little warm, so might want to find power supply with more amperage. I plugged them into the units and it did power them up fine. I will include these two power supplies with this lot. These units are a bit dirty, so will have to be cleaned up a little once you get them. One is in a soft case(not the best, zipper hard to zip) and one is all by itself with no case. The one without the case(RFM151) seems to look a lot better than the other, not as worn out, but is missing the dial on the front. the other one has the dial on it) You can see the digital display of this one in pictures 8 and 10.
