I’ve owned this analyzer for about 7 years. It has attenuator/switch issues. All of HP’s analyzers of this vintage used gold fingers on a gold plated circuit board and they would. Over time, develop contact issues. When I bought it all was working fine so I suspect that cleaning the fingers would restore operation but this is not a job for the faint-hearted; it’s not hard but a bit tedious and time consuming. I don’t know if you can still get a rebuild kit– if so that would be ... morethe way to go. Sometimes the LEDs around the display that shows Ref Level and amount of Attenuation may not read correctly due to the dirty fingers. If you can live with 10-20 dB of“deafness” then this is a bargain. It has seen very little use since I have another SA that I use most of the time. A new SA is in the shop’s future so this one has to go and my current main one will be the standby. I’m selling it as parts/repair with a low starting price– no returns but it is guaranteed to work as described here. There used to be a number of people who advertised on eBay that would do the rebuild for a reasonable amount. I haven’t done one in more than 10 years and I don’t have the time. Nice clean used Motorola R-2670 A FDMA Digital Communications System Analyzer. Powers on and passes self tests quickly. Has nice sharp CRT Display and very clean well kept case including cover. This is a very sophisticated item and I have pressed every button and went through a lot of the menus and everything appears to be working perfectly. I hear an internal fan running smoothly and quietly inside the cabinet plus the speaker sounds loud and clear. I have no antenna to plug into it for more testing. There is a message on one of the screens that reads"Warning Calibrate" but that might be because there is no antenna. There is a tag on the back of the unit with manufacture date of 2000.
