This is a very useful plugin if you have a 11801 or csa803 oscilloscope that is not working. You insert the plugin into the leftmost slot of the oscilloscope and connect a sma cable from the trig out to trigger input. You power on the oscilloscope and check for no errors on power up. The most common error on power up is a time base error due to battery failure. If everything is OK press the autoset and you should get a square wave on the screen. If you don't get a square wave power down the scope and move the simulator to the next slot and try again. A common failure is one dead slot due to someone changing a plugin without first powering down the scope damaging both the slot and plugin. If none of the slots work then the prescaler is bad another common fault. The trigger input connects ... moreto the prescaler and with nothing connected to the jack a shorting sma plug is to be used to"cap" the input. The prescaler is sensitive to static charge damage. Simply walking around the room can deliver enough of static charge to damage it if the input isn't capped with a sma shorting plug.

There was one damaged pad on the card edge connector. I repaired it by epoxying a new copper pad on the edge and soldering it to the contact. Item recovered locally and sold AS IS. This auction is for a T ektronix Type 1A1 Dual-Trace Plug-In Unit from Type 536 Oscilloscope. The original oscilloscope is no longer available. But was working when received. This module was one of the two spare modules that were kept in a 2-bay storage area below the oscope on a S cope-Mobile Type 202-2. Since the oscope is no longer available. These can't be plugged into it to test it out, so will have to sell as is as a parts/repair item, even though it might work just fine.
