The Triplett 3444 is a true Mutual Transconductance tube tester. Measures actual Mutual Transconductance. Unlike other testers that measure only proportional or% of transconductance. The overall physical condition is Very Good for its age. Some fabric separation on the bottom, re-glued. All other fabric in very good shape. All latches, handle and hinges work and are original. The tester was an original unmolested example and sent to be calibrated/refurbished in May 2014 by Merren Audio in California(see description of service performed at bottom of the page) One of the few qualified restorers of this type of equipment. This was done to provide years of worry free use to the owner and to bring this classic tester up to spec. All switches cleaned and calibration performed. It lite up meter centered. I ran no other tests on it. No tubes The black wire comeing out of the top on the left side is hard and the insulating will crack if bent. The book is in good shape a little musty smelling. The hinges on the case are a little rusty.

Nice eBay find for the collector or avid restoration enthusiast. An EICO model 625 vintage tube tester complete with schematic. Parts list, tube data including the May 1956"NEW TUBE TESTER DATA" Roll chart is inside- well lit. Hesitates occasionally when scrolled up/down but I was able to go from"STOP" up to"STOP" down. Included also are 11" x 17" prints of tube data. I tested a 45 tube. As shown in the pictures. Simple settings on the meter, just follow the lever number"UP" or"DOWN" One cap/cover missing on the last lever. See photos. No other problems noticed. Here's one more Tube Tester that use to belong to my Uncle who worked on all kinds of Radio's. TV's, and other electronic devices. This is the Sencore BIG MACK CR-168 Universal CRT Tube Tester. According to the units Setup Booklet, the tester was made in 1986 by Sencore INC, Sioux Falls, SD, in USA. I don't know anything about this tester or how to operate it other than I did plug it in and turned the on-off switch to the"on" position and the needle under the plastic dial jumped up a little, then dropped back down. So, I assume the unit does still work. But, I do not know how to operate it nor do I have a tube to try to test it verifying its working condition. It appears to have been hardly used and is in very nice condition. As always. No reserve. This is a Mercury Tube Tester with Sylvania advertising. Guessing late 1950's or 1960's. Could not find any dates nor could I find any info on this particular model, you collector's and electronic's wizards will know what this is. The Serial Number is 3270042. It powers up. Red light on panel comes on as well as others, top SYLVANIA advertising sign WORKS PERFECTLY. When I put tube in and press check button, needle moves as it should to check tube, see picture) It is important that you realize I know nothing about this item, or if it works correctly. The meter setting knob does not move the needle as instructions state when turned, and its knob is loose. When looking from bottom inside up to underside of control panel it appears all wiring is original ... moreand intact, but there is one red wire hanging loose, am guessing it the meter setting knob power. Also the bottom door has no key so it swings open or closed on its own. My opinion is that this item is all intact and most likely will work perfectly with a bit of help from someone to service it. OLD VINTAGE TV7-D/U TV-7D/U MILITARY TUBE TESTER CHECKER This auction is for an old used vintage TV-7D/U US military tube tester checker.The serial is 2523.This tester came from the estate of a SK. I tested many different types of tubes on this checker& it worked fine.In one of the pictures. I show it testing one side of a 6SN7 tube. This tester will check 4.5,6,7, 8, 9 pin tubes.It will also check acorn type tubes.This unit will not test 10& 12 pin sweep tubes, way too old for those types. It comes with a paper book type tube chart& also plate cap lead for testing tubes with a top plate cap.There is also an 8 pin with guide pin to 8 pin with no guide pin adapter.Not sure what kind of tubes those are. Up for auction is a Sencore TC28 Hybrider Tube& Transistor tester. It is in like new condition& comes with the original box& paperwork. It has been checked for calibration using the sencore calibration module and no adjustment was needed it was spot on and I tested several tubes including 12AX7 5U4G 6L6 EL84 6550 6JS6C 8950 6LQ6 6SN7GT and several others with excellent results. The sockets are just like new clean& tight and all knobs and switches are smooth and function as the should. The outer case is free of scratches. Scuffs or rust. It has the test setting book attached to the inner lid and it is loaded with tube data& is in mint shape. This is the nicest Sencore I have ever came across and I have had several. Tested with a calibrated 6L6, it reads very close to actual Gm. However, there is no record of the last calibration on this unit. The tester is in good cosmetic condition, with wear as expected for test equipment of this age- better than average. Overall, a good entry-level mutual conductance tester.
