This allows you to test with more bases- 10 pin mini, Compactrons, both kinds of Nuvistors- handy when you have more modern tubes. I think this may be unused. Very good condition. Anyway. I have no way of testing this meter. I plugged it in and selected the line ajustment. If you look at the last 2 pictures the needle moves when you turn the load knob. Other than that I have no way of testing this unit to make sure that it is operational as intended. I will be selling this item as is. It is made in the USA by Superior Intrument Company New York. This may be Heathkit's first tube tester. And a fair amount of thought was included with the design. An additional hole is provided for future socket addition, and it checks for emission, short, opens and fil continuity. It is also provided with quality components for the time. A 6SN7 test is shown in one pic. However the short lamp is generally on too. This may or may not be normal, the manual isn't arranged to address dumb questions- like mine. Roll chart is the requisite 1-1-66. An update booklet to 1-1-69 is included. Chart works freely, a tad tight near the end. The tester has turned off twice(line adjust reading went to zero) momentarily then returned to normal, no attempt to determine cause. Wiring is neat and clean, some of the sockets are not oriented as the manual shows but ... morethe pins are wired neatly and correctly. Meter face is clear, has one short tight age crack at the zero adjustment. Switches and controls were cleaned. Original owner(and seller) had inserted the TC-1 into a carry case padded to provide proper fit. This has protected the unit from the effects of long-term exposure reasonably well. A poor quality but complete copy of the manual is included. Along with the update booklet. Sold as-is. Not working since I haven't verified the short lamp status. Offered for auction is a nice vintage Precision Tube Tester Model number10-12 serial number 8205 made by the Precision Apparatus Company in the U.S.A. The tester comes with two original Precision Books including a Supplementary Tube Data for tubes that are not included on the built in roll chart and and the other is Tube Test Data which mainly mirrors the roll chart but has lots of other information for tubes not on the chart such as Novars and Compactrons and some later tubes. The tester is in excellent working condition and the front operators panel is actually in very nice original condition showing very minimal wear however the wood case does show obvious wear from years of reliable use. I have used this tester personally in the past and it has always been very accurate with readings consistantly ... morein concert with my Hickok 539C. The tester comes complete with all accessories that are pictured which includes; one model A-15 socket adapter used for testing 10 pin tubes. Heathkit IT-21 Tube Tester- Nice! Accurate! HAM Here's a nice. Clean Heathkit model IT-21 tube tester. It has all the sockets you've been looking for to test the tubes in your vintage radios. It'll test those older 4-pin, 5-pin, 6-pin, and even 7-pin tubes, as well as the later 8-pin Octal, 8-pin Loctal and the 7-pin and 9-pin miniatures. It also has sockets for both 5-pin and 7-pin Nuvistors, 9-pin Novar tubes and 12-pin Compactrons. The 9-pin miniature socket has an additional center pin to also accept 10-pin miniature tubes. The test circuit of the IT-21 is identical to Heath's later models IT-17 and IT-3117, and the earlier"TC" models, and the test data for these testers is also usable with the IT-21. To ensure accuracy of a newly built kit. Heath didn't provide ... moreany calibration adjustments for this model tester, relying instead on the inherent accuracy provided by using close tolerance components in the measuring circuits. All the components of this instrument have been checked for accuracy and found to be well withing their original specifications; and this TC-3 is working as it should on all ranges. It is shown in the second photo testing a new 6L6GC tube. The tube, of course, is not included in the auction. This instrument is especially nice. The workmanship is impeccable and very neat with proper layout. The connections and solder joints are professionally done. And it even has the little"extras" like laced wiring not usually found on a kit instrument. For sale is a used Signal Corps I-177-B Dynamic Mutual Conductance tester"and" a NOS/NIB HS-16A headset. This tester is in good working condition overall. I acquired it recently with little history so performed the following procedures: Put it on a variac and started at 40 volts to 120 volts over a two day period. Replaced the fuse bulb with an NOS bulb(after I broke the original working bulb) Tested a sample of tubes including rectifier and power in 80% of the sockets and compared results to my calibrated(by Dan Nelson) TV-7D/U tester. Performed a light surface cleaning In general I would say the tubes tested on the I-177-B came out a little lower(5%15% than my TV-7. However I have 3 calibrated TV-7's and this one is the higher testing of the three. In other words, the I-177-B ... morewasn't very far off the mark. The tester does show signs of light oxidation and a few paint chips, but the sockets were tight and made good contact. The original documentation is very weathered but usable. The power cord is very pliable and should not need to be replaced. The metal case is decent with no major damage/dents. Serial Number is#6693. The headset as you may know was originally intended to test for noise on these testers as well as TV-7's and Hickok 539's. I have never performed this type of test but might give it a try. Your headset will come in an original unopened paper foil package. The one you see pictured is one my others so you can get the idea. Please note this an"as is" auction and you understand the issues with vintage electronics. This unit and headset will be packed with great care. Here's a very nice Mercury 2000 mutual conductance and emission type tube tester that also does transistor testing. It's been lightly used and stored most of the time for many years. You can see the tester itself is beautiful, although the case has a few scuffs in it. Also the front two feet are missing- I actually removed them years ago so it would tilt ever so slightly toward me in the shop to avoid a light reflection. I always thought I'd save them and put them back on sometime, but that obviously didn't work. near as I can tell this is still working perfectly, I tested a couple known good tubes and got the results I was expecting. However since there are nearly an infinite amount of settings and combinations it's hard to say with 100% accuracy that it's perfect. ... moreAnd you probably know that for serious, hard core work, these really need to be restored to bring them up to 100% spec. But for the typical hobbyist these are really good machines, and I believe share a circuit with a Hickock model, I can't remember exactly but someone did tell me that. This listing is for a Western Electric KS-15560-L1 Hickock 539 Dynamic Mutual Conductance Tube Tester. I bought this thinking it would make a nice upgrade over my rather beat up Hickock 539. I got it home. Looked it over and thought, this beautiful tester has a lot more important work to do than testing an occasional 6BA6 or 12AX7 in my basement shop. While this is nice enough to reside in a museum, it deserves to be used analyzing tubes as its capabilities are significantly better than I had imagined when I first bought it. As the label says. This Heathkit IT-21 Tube Tester- Checker is from an estate so we don't know about its history. But appears to be in pretty good condition. It really only needs to be cleaned up a bit, but we will leave that to the new owner. The knobs all turn freely and the levers all move securely into their three detent positions. Regardless of it they have a knob or not. The thumb-wheel on the right moves the tube selector drum. But we don't know what the thumb-wheel on the left is supposed to do. The area in front of the tube selector drum is open. But we don't know if is supposed to be open or not. We powered it up and the panel lights illuminate. It comes with the instruction manual, european tube type data book, obsolete tube data book, operating data for the CA-4, the CA-4 adapter, vibrator testor, and grid/plate cap wires. It is in perfect working order. It has just been calibrated according to Daniel Schoo's instruction. Seems to work fine but I don't know much about them. I tested a bunch of tubes and so I think it's fine but I have to sell it as-is since I don't know how to test all the functions. There's one cable that I showed in the second picture that is clipped off. I have no idea what it's for. Up for bids is a United States military Type I-177-B Dynamic Mutual Conductance tube tester. The I-177-B tube tester was designed by and licensed to Hickok. This version was manufactured by The Triplett Co. Using Hickok's technology. It appears to be completely original. The line cord and cap line plug ins are very brittle and should probably be replaced somewhere down the line. All controls operate and function as they should. The meter movement is smooth and surrounded by a great looking panel. The tip of the meter pointer is slightly turned to the right. The original manual is dated 11 June 1951. The tube tester is working but it reads ... more15-20% higher than it should. This is based on comparison tests using my calibrated TV-7/U tube tester. It should be properly serviced and calibrated by a qualified technician. Both the 5Y3 and 83 tubes appear original to the tester. They are both military spec and tested very good. Here's a very nice Heathkit TC-2 tube tester in full-working condition. The light-up data roller is very cool. The unit has been tested with new-old tubes and found to read within manufacturer specs. This is an emissions-type tester. So it doesn't test for mutual conductance. It comes with the original users manual(not pictured) and tube-data update booklets. The plate-clip lead wire has some brittle insulation that can be taped or replaced. Please make sure the item is suitable for your needs. This listing is for a Meter Movement for Hickock Dynamic Mutual Conductance Tube Testers. I had thought the movement for my Hickock 539 was bad so I bought this movement. However. I determined that my meter was fine. Thus I have this perfectly good movement in excess. Cosmetically this is near perfect. The only thing I really know about this tester is that the light comes on when the ON button is pressed so I am selling this AS IS. Storage Case in good condition. Knight Allied KG-600B Tube Tester Tester works but readings are higher when compared to my known accurate Kickok 600A. For example. The tube being tested in the photos is a 6C6, testing strong on the upper range of the good scale. Hickok readings for the same tube fall in the middle range of the good scale. Not sure whats going on, may need calibration. All controls function correctly including short test& line adjust. Back lighted roll chart works fine. Up for your consideration is a Stark 9-66 tube tester. I had this tester serviced and it worked fine. But I must have done something as it no longer deflects when I insert a tube and press the test button. I can however adjust line voltage. It heats up the tube but no reading can be obtained. The service tech had this guy working within a few minutes, perhaps I blew one of the tubes by an improper setting. The roll chart turns smoothly, the SHORTS pot is well worn, comes with a few accessories. The screws are missing from the chassis to the box, small burn on top of the case. Hi. For your consideration is a working Hickok 752A Tube Tester. I used this tester for many years testing power and preamp tubes for my vintage tube bass amps. Case has some minor wear from normal use. But is still in good condition for its age. Tube setting roll chart at bottom is legible and lights up when power is turned on. What sets the 762A apart from other testers is the ability to test dual triodes such as 12AX7. 6DJ8, etc. without changing switch settings. You just push another switch. We purchased this item from the estate of a gentleman that had some nice quality electronic testers and hand tools which we also purchased. The tools and testers were in nice condition and he seemed to take good care of them. This is one of the last items we have from the estate. We know nothing about this or how to test it. We were in hopes to find someone local that could check it out for us. But that hasn't happened. This looks to be in nice condition, clean and with no dings. Hickok 533A Tube Tester Calibrated& Everything is Within Specs Works Great! Hickok 533A Dynamic Mutual Conductance Tube Tester Calibrated and Ready to Use This Hickok 533A is a later model and uses precision resistors rather than the resistor spools that were in the older models. Information including the manual and tube data are readily available at no charge at Bama. All the specs were checked and the tester calibrated and the line voltage with a 6L6 in the socket is at 6.2 volts that will help ensure accurate test results. The current tube data on the roller is dated 1963. The two tubes in the tester. The 83 and 5Y3, are new and it has an updated grounded plug. The case is solid and does show wear on the tolex, but is still in good shape. This 533A is a great tube tester and has a great ... moremeter that reads only in Micromhos or the English Scale of Good and Bad. It is far easier to get an accurate Gm reading on a meter such as this one rather than one that has readings for other needless readings such as volts and ohms like on the Hickok 750. The tester is calibrated and there are pictures of a 6L6 being tested with the correct Gm reading and a 6AX7 being tested that is also a calibration tube.
