This vintage tube tester is in great cond. It is a Model 700 made by Precision Apparatus Co. Brooklyn NY USA. All knobs and dials and roller work smoothly. I have powered this tester up and it does power up. The needle on the gauge moves. It is not broken or stuck. The wooden box has dovetail corners and is in great cond. Box has a Sylvania decal.Handle hinges and closures are all great. It has a leather handle. The power cord has hardened and the outer coating is cracking off however it does work.This is a really nice tube tester in a really nice box. As with all electrical items I sell I cannot guarantee it works only that it does power up. There is an instructional booklet and it says Operating Instructions for Series 700. The tester was plugged in and it lights up. But I don't know how to test it properly. The roll chart scrolls smoothly and the cabinet is in good shape, but needs a cleaning. For your consideration is one vintage Precision Apparatus Company series 920 Electronamic Tube and Set Tester. It weighs almost 15 lbs. unpacked. The case laying down is 12 3/4" wide x 13 3/4" deep x 6" tall. The wood case has scratches from use and one tiny chip. Shown in the pictures, but is intact. The AC cord is dried out and should be replaced. The"line adjust" control and knob are missing, the 2 wires that were attached to it inside are taped off. The cabinet had 2 sets of 4 rubber feet originally. The four when sitting horizontally are all removed. There is one of the four missing for vertical position. It looks like there was a metal label on the outside gone as well. I don't see why someone with a little electronics savvy wouldn't be able to fix this ... morewith little effort.

TV-2A/2 Tube Tester. 1957, Low Hours, Serviced, Working. Cabinet has some wear- faceplate and tube testing operation is fine. This example was manufactured by Federal Television in Philadelphia. Faceplate has date stamp May 6. 1957. The TV-2 is the highest quality US military tester. Faceplate is in fine condition with no wear. I cannot find any indication anywhere on the faceplate this example was used for many hours. Definately a low hours example. As shown in the photos, the chassis was removed from case and circuit quality and voltages measure fine. When shorted tubes are measured in the TV-2, resistors to the selector switches take a beating and will break down and fail. Not a problem with this TV-2. I bought this at a state sale. I connected a tube that makes the needle move and the light on the left lights up. I really do not know how it is supposed to work as I am not an expert with tube testers. The glass on the meter is missing/broken but it can be easily replaced. Comes with the catalog of numbers for testing various tubes. Y ou may be able to spot the control labeled'Grid' in the lower left corner on the picture shown above. This sets the grid bias on the tube. And ranges from-5VDC all the way up to-45VDC. Under the hood, there are no tubes to worry about in these testers. The'solid state' bias supply is furnished via the single diode. See the picture of the'guts' of the Model 666. Highlighted in yellow is the filtered DC supply(for the transistor test) on the right and the adjustment for leakage indication on the left. You can set how'high' a leakage exists between elements of the tubes that would be'failed' on the leakage test. This is a nice working BK 747 Dynamic Mutual Conductance Solid State Tube Tester. All Switches. Pots, and tube sockets were cleaned and/or tightened. Caig Deoxit was used to clean the contacts. Bulbs for the heater and overload are good. The plastic over the meter is clean and free of scratches! Meter movement is nice and smooth Several known tubes were tested to ensure proper operation of this tube tester. The hinge is tight to open and pops when you do open it. If you are looking for a tester with a nice case. This is not the one. The case is in terrible condition. It is intact enough to safely house the tester, it just doesn't look nice. I don't know if all functions are working. I am capable of; finding a tube number in the scroll. Plug the tube in, make the listed settings, push the listed button, and read the meter, good or replace. Other then setting the line adjust, this is all that I have the knowledge to do. I do not know how accurate it is, as I don't have a tube of a known condition or another tester to compare to. The face of the tester in in pretty good condition. It has definitely had some use. As you can see wear marks around the switches wear fingers have rubbed on it. There is a lens missing over the bias fuse, and the ... morepower cord is pretty cracked up and should be replaced as well as the short test lead. The metal name plate that is supposed to be glued under the lid has come off. The tube sockets seemed to work fine on the two I tried, but all look like they have light corrosion on the contacts. The scroll is complete and works well, it gets a little harder to roll as you approach the ends. There is some writing in pencil on the back of the face. I will wrap up the two tubes underneath to be sure they are not damaged during shipping. BE SURE TO OPEN AND REMOVE THE PACKAGING MATERIAL BEFORE USE! Vintage Eico 625 Tube Tester with Manual and Original Documents. It has not been fully tested but I tried to test it as much as possible with some of the tubes I had and it appeared to work. Therefore it is being sold as is but I do think it works but no guarantees. The Meter is clear and has No cracks. This piece does show some age and wear and probably could use a cleaning. This is a Precision Apparatus 10-60 tube and transistor tester. I tried it on 3 tubes. A 6L6, a 5Y3 and a 12AX7. It worked and gave reasonable results, but calibration is not guaranteed. I did not try testing any transistors. It is one of the last, and most complete testers that Precision made and covers many tube types. This is the one to have if you're looking for a high end emmisions tester. The case is a little beat up( see pictures) but solid and there are some wear marks and scratches on the face of the tester. This auction is for a TEST-O-MATIC. Filament Continuity& Hi Voltage Tester- Model C2. Made by the Shell Electronic Mfg Corp. 1) In the first picture the built-in flashlight is working. 2) In the second picture the continuity light is working because the fuse test buttons are shorted with a pair of scissors. 3) The tester is powered by 2 AA batteries(included) 4) The"HV" or High Voltage) terminal is connected to both legs of a neon lamp. Hickok 800 Tube Tester. The diode test ports have been modified to test power tube current using a standard DMM for power tube matching. I will send instructions on how to use to the winning bidder if you are not familiar with this function which is commonly used on the 539 series. Also included are manuals and test data on CD. The 83 tube has been replaced with a voltage regulated SS device providing proper voltage drop. This unit had a rough shipping time getting to me and the wooden bracket on the left side came loose. And the top deck is slightly bowed. I have repaired the bracket, and everything fits pretty well but its not perfect, please see pictures. Electronics repaired and calibrated. My calibration voltages read- Plate Voltage = 151.9(150 +/ 5v) Screen Voltage = 133.3(135/5v) Reduced ... moreScreen Voltage = 55.7(56 +/3V) Max Bias =-38.9(39 +/1V) This tester reads small signal tubes fine. 12AX7, 12AU7, 6CF8, etc but larger power tubes appear to sag the power supply a bit, and so read a little on the low side. Heathkit Tube Tester. Model# TC-2. Works great. Comes with copies of assembling and instruction manual, supplement test data sheets and test data for seldom used tubes. Also has a built in roll chart for tube test set up. Test sockets for 4, 5, 6, 7 pin early type tubes, 8 pin octal and loctal tubes and 7, 9 pin miniature tubes. All switches, controls and sockets were cleaned. Circuit capacitors and some resistors were replaced, newer roll chart window. Good power cord and grid cap lead. Great for testing audio, amplifier, stereo, hi/fi, radio and tv tubes. Shows some age. But is in overall very good condition. Very useful tester with a lot of great features!

This offering is for a vintage Superior Instruments Model 83 C.R.T. Tube Tester for Color and Black and White Tubes. It seems to be in good vintage condition. It powers up, but I have no way of testing it. The previous owner said it worked fine. It still has the original operating manual which is in very good, untorn condition. Cords are in very good condition and the case is in good condition(see pictures) The case is clean and sound, but does have some rust that will need to be cleaned off the exterior metal. The handle is strong and the closing snaps work well, a separation is beginning to form at the back of the top's edge. This Tester belonged to my father who at one time worked for Radio Marine after WWII and Loral Electronics during the late 50's& 60's. Unknown if it is operational. It appears to be in good condition. But I do not know how to work it so I could not test it. The solid wood case is weathered on the exterior, and handle also very weathered. In the case are Tube Test Data charts and test leads.
