SquareTrade © AP6.0 1960 vintage U-Test-Em model 1901 stationary tube tester. 58 1/2" tall x 21" wide x 20" front to back. Sheet metal cabinet has locking door on the bottom with slide out tray shelves. There are 5 tray slots but only 2 trays. Cabinet is in fair cosmetic condition but equipment appears to be good working. Glass insert on the cabinet base door is cracked. Glass panel with advertising is missing from the overhead light section. Some minor surface rust and wear and on the cabinet. For testing Efficiency. Plug the tube into the correct socket and allow 30 seconds to warm up. Meter should read at the chart indicated value or higher. I tested several tubes and the values appear reasonable. I have a brand new 6U7 tube which shows a value of 50 on the cabinet chart ... moreand the meter tests at 55. I have a used 6K7 which should test at 50 but only registers 40. Shorts or gas leaks should light up on the panel but none of the tubes I tested appear to be faulty in that respect. There is a toggle power switch mounted on the panel, however, the only way to turn off the overhead light is to unplug the unit. Pretty neat and usable unit. For local pick up here in York, PA 17406. Here is a Sencore TC162 Mighty Mite tube tester that is in very good working condition. It is a nice little portable unit with plenty of functions. I checked the inner electronics for signs of rust or water damage and there is none. All the electronics are super clean. I t comes with its tube manual permanently mounted in the cover. The knob on the right is not original but it fits and works perfectly. I tested some tubes with it and the zero function works fine and it checks correctly for emission and leakage(see pictures) I back this up as being fully functional or you can return it for a full refund. This little tester will tell you if a tube is dead, weak or shorted and provides a scale reading of relative general condition. It will test 4, 5, 6, 7(large) octal, loctal, 7 and 9 pin miniatures. Will also test pilot lamp bulbs. All knobs present and all controls work, as they should. Illuminated roll chart is in good condition with no rips, tears or tape. Attic find. I'm sure that in the day this was state of the art but by today's standards it's a dinosaur. And I'm sure that when it was stashed away so many years ago"dad" was sure he'd need it again. It absolutly needs a new power cord before it could even be tested safely but, after noticing some screws missing on the cover I had to open it up to make sure it wasn't gutted. As you can see in the pictures aside from a coating of dust the interior looks surprisingly good with no evidence that anything but age has deteriorated the cord on the outside of the cover, even the paper roll looks quite good. This is a large heavy object so shipping will be quoted as parcel post. Epsey Tube Tester Model 105 Serial Number 1096 This is an Espey military tube tester from WWII. Inside is clean. Tubes inside are an 83 and a 5Y3GT. Case shows wear with some minor scratches and rust. And the handle is missing. You can just barely make out what appears to be the orange US Signal Corps. stamp in upper left corner. Nice Hickok 1230 tube tester in very clean condition. Too bad it needs repair work. As seen in the third picture testing a known good 12AX7 the meter does not read into the green zone as it should on line 2 and as seen in the fourth picture the needle does not fully return to zero, if left to sit off for a period of time the needle will return closer to zero but it never quite gets there. Several other known good tubes have been tested and only one read into the green zone and I believe that one was a rectifier tube. The meter is labeled 123A, this may or may not be the correct meter for this- I'm sure the Hickok aficionados will know and maybe share a bit of knowledge as WEB searches have revealed little info on this tester, any shared info will be posted in the Q&A section at the ... morebottom of the page. Thumbing through the test cards they appear to all be in excellent condition, there are an estimated 500+ cards included inside the case, the cards are marked"123" I assume the 123/A tester is very similar to this tester, see my other listing for a HUGE set of 123/A cards that will work in this tester. The tester accepts and releases the test cards with no issues, the power stays on and the off switch works well. The power cord is dry rotted and will need replaced, the case is nice showing only a couple of minor blemishes in the tolex, the metal hardware outside the case is mostly clean with some minor flash rust, the leather handle shows some minor cracking and is still very solid, the inside panel is very nice and clean- I can't imagine this will need a lot to get it going again- possibly just needing re-caped and the tubes replaced, that seems to do the trick on most of these old testers from my experience. The tester is large and heavy weighing in at almost 42 pounds and measuring approximately 20.5" by 17" by 9.5" no manuals or other literature is included. For auction is a nice WT-110A RCA Automatic Tube Tester with Tube testing cards. The case is in fair to good condition as seen by the pictures. The tube tester cards go from 1 volt tubes to 35 volt tubes and has the common types for amplifiers and tv sets such as 35W4. 12AX7, 6L6, 6K6 etc. I put a 12AU7 in the nine pin socket with the card in the slot and it tested fine(see picture) I put a 6L6 in the octal socket with the card and it gave output but when i wiggled the tube the output was"twitchy" This tester needs some tlc and for someone to go through it and check capacitors etc. The transformer checks fine. It tested alright/good but when I tried to calibrate this tester, I couldn't get the proper calibration reading. There were three calibration steps to perform but in the very first step, the meter didn't fluctuate as specified in the instructions. I don't know if I was performing the calibration properly as instructed or not. when I turned the pot that was specified in step one of the calibration instructions the needle didn't fluctuate as it was supposed to do. Eico 666 Tube Tester. I plugged it in and nothing happened. I have no way to test the unit. The fuse looks to be good. I can't tell if the bulb is good. Or not. Everything is complete except for the rubber ring that protects the power cord. I did retape the paper to the rollers and that works fine, now. The case has rust, scrapes, and scratches. Hickok Cardmatic 123/123A test card set. Most cards are marked 123- some are marked 123A. There are an estimated 1400+ cards in this set, an estimated 400 of these are of the 2, 3& 4 digit type like 80, 801 and 6025- most all of these 400 are of the 4 digit type, there are an estimated 600+ cards from 0A3 through the 6 volt tube types, the set appears to be light on 12 volt type cards but I did notice cards for popular tubes like 12AU7& 12AX7. I did not notice many doubles thumbing through the set and for the most part the cards are in order, if there are any doubles they would be of the 4 digit type, there is a stack of these(75-100 or so) out of order that makes it difficult to say one way or the other if there are many doubles of these. Offered is a TV-7 A/U vacuum tube tester. It's in very nice cosmetic condition and it comes with all of its original attachments and original flip chart. I have owned this tester for at least 5-6 years and have had it calibrated by TV-7 specialist Dan Nelson. He has calibrated 5 or 6 TV-7's for me and always does an excellent job. The calibration document is included with the set. I have owned many TV-7's over the years. These were work horse units for the military and most received very heavy use. When you buy an original un-touched unit you can expect that it will need extensive repair to bring it back to life. The most common problem is that the 7& 9 pin Miniature sockets and the 8-pin Octal socket are going to be worn. The pins will be so loose that any tube that you test ... morewill wallow around in the socket making poor contact. Leaving you with an incorrect test reading or intermittent reading. These need to be changed. In addition both the 83 and 5Y3 rectifiers are usually well used and need to be replaced. Calibration will most certainly be"off" This set has had the 7&9 pin sockets replaced as well as the Octal socket. Anti-Ferrite beads have been added to all three. This is a feature of the TV7-D and is useful in preventing oscillation of high gain tubes such as WE417A and 6DJ8's. The set was also calibrated to spec's. A detailed calibration report is provided. It looks like the calibration service was@$200. I am downsizing now so, if you are looking for a nice clean calibrated TV-7 which will last you another decade or more, then this is probably the one for you. This tester came out of a large private collection auctioned off at an estate sale. The tester is in very fine condition- inside is mint- bottom of case has a few scratches( see picture) We ran a few tests straight out of the manual and afterwards duplicated the test seen on YouTube entitled: how to test a 6dj8 with a hickok tube tester. This Tube Tester is very good looking with only minor wear. This was made in the 1945-46 era. The design was made by Hickock, it was licensed and assembled by Supreme Corporation in Greenwood Miss. The manual appears completed without any significant torn or worn pages. Since in it partially working it might be any easy fix. I just don't have time. My loss is your gain. Hickok 600 Transconductance Tube Tester. Low Hours Tester was used on the bench of a gent that was not an engineer but in management. Owner had limited time and tester accumulated low hours. Tester was always in shop with the same atmosphere as the living quarters of a home. Switches have that low hours feel. Meter is working fine. Tube measurement results correlate closely with a known accurate TV-7. Faceplate has no wear at the usual spots. Chart is working with correct tension. Faceplate screws are all original. Owner 14.00 For sale today is my grandfather’s Working Hickock 539C Tube Tester. He was a radio engineer and up until recently this was part of the tools he took to work every day. It is fully functional but unfortunately only he knew its last calibration. A nice well kept Vintage Knight KG-600B Tube Tester by Allied Radio of Chicago. The Tester does power up. Though I have no tubes to test. The unit has all the instruction booklets, the original Warranty and the original Sales Receipt dated April of 1968. The outer case shows normal signs of use. HERE'S A VERY NICE TUBE TESTER AT A BARGAIN PRICE. It does need some knowledgeable TLC however. As you can see this tester is in VG+ to excellent original condition. Case is fine. Roll chart exceptional. All lettering. Knobs, etc. mechanically OK. No loose switches, etc. Inside the unit is very clean and shows no signs of shop abuse, such as smoke or being left on continuously. The mystery is it will test some tubes exactly as you'd expect and some it doesn't! It may be a poor solder joint or a switch contact that I've overlooked. Moreover, I've given it a general cleaning and inspection and still haven't located the intermittent problem. As mentioned the roll chart is smooth and still very white indicating low use. The meter is in fine shape with no signs of abuse ... moreand few scratches. The transformer shows no signs of rust/corrosion and runs very cool and quiet.
