Here is a vintage. Working tube tester by Precision. It could like use a calibration, but I tested a couple tubes with it and everything seems to be working well. The lead for tubes having a top contact has come free from the actual cap that goes on the tube, but it will be inluded and can be repaired. There are also some documents and an adapter. Very nice. Perfectly working B&K 707 tube tester. Comes with tube handbook and original B&K tube chart booklet. Guaranteed to work. Condition is good but this is an older machine so the case definitely has wear and there are going to be some small marks here and there. It's been cleaned but if someone spent some extra effort it would clean up very nice. We are a music shop and have always had repair techs but recently we lost our main guitar amp repair man and this machine has become expendable. It's been at our shop for many. You are bidding on a TeleTest DynaMatic model DM 456 card-controlled automatic tube tester. This little portable tube tester is a poor man's version of the famous Hickok/Western-Electric"Cardmatic" units. The DynaMatic uses punched plastic cards(see photo 3 for a sample) to make the settings for each tube type. Simply choose the correct card using the chart(photo 4) Insert it in the slot, set the filament voltage and"calibration" control, and plug in the tube. Turn the test knob to perform shorts, mutual conductance, life, and gas tests. Much faster than tube testers with knobs or push buttons for settings. Accepts most common vintage 7-pin, 9-pin, and octal tubes. Note that the meter scale is in micromhos: This is not just a simple emissions tester. Measures 12" ... moreby 9" by 6" and weighs only about 10 pounds. Not a laboratory instrument, but very handy for quick checks of common tubes, especially away from the bench. I have tested this on a variety of tubes. Including 6V6, 6L6, 12AT7, etc. Photo 1 shows a good 6V6 reading almost 6000 on the GM scale. The tester works well and is easy to use, but is touchy: Sometimes the card has to be wiggled to get the tube's filament to come on and perform the test. I am guessing that the contacts for the card reader need to be cleaned. I think all you would have to do is open the case and clean the metal fingers on the card reader with tuner spray or light emery cloth. This is a very useful tool for servicing vintage electronic equipment. I'd keep it if I didn't have a lot of other tube testers. I have been collecting antique radios and TV's for more than 30 years. Alright folks here is a rare find. This is I beleive vintage circa 1955! Superior Instruments Company model 82A vacuum tube tester. If you play electric guitar with a tube amp you might want this. If you repair tube equipment this is a must have! That is why I have it. Vacuum tubes give you the sound that only a tube can produce. For Auction is a Hickok Model 1575B tube tester. It turns on and powers the few tubes I have tested it with. All the meters work. Missing four feet. SHUNT KNOB, and manual. Has scratches. Tape marks, dings, ink marking, stickers, small dents, and the lid does not close properly. Not to sure about accuracy, it was last calibrated in 1965. It was from a university. It functions as well as I can test it without a manual.

I was not able to test this unit. It powered on and had no funny burning smells when plugged in. I know nothing about tube testers and had no tubes to test. THIS UNIT WILL BE SOLD AS IS! I took many pictures of the cosmetic condition of the unit so PLEASE LOOK AT THEM IN DETAIL SO YOU WILL BE AWARE OF THEM BEFORE BUYING. THE HINGES AND LATCHES AND HANDLE OF THE CASE ARE IN GOOD WORKING ORDER BUT HAVE RUST. There are spots on the units face and on the plastic gauge cover- could be paint splatter. Up for auction today is a KS-15874-L2 Cardmatic. It is in used condition with no vacuum tubes installed. Therefore I am selling this item as a non-working tube tester. The inside condition is very good with no noticeable damage(see pics) but the outside box is fair with a taped handle. Comes complete as shown by the pictures. ITEM DESCRIPTION A vintage 600A tube tester by Hickok. It works well. May need calibration though. I tested the function with a couple different tubes such as 27, 80, 6V6, 6SN7 and all performed as expected. The power cord is flexible and has no cracks. The small grid cap adapter aged and a bit cracked at the base of it. There is an nice built-in scroll for tube settings included and it even still shows those two digit tubes. The handle. Hinges and clasps are tight and in good condition. Exterior cabinet not water damaged or cracked however, it does have marks paint splatters, and tears consistent with its age. Offered is a HICKOK brand CA-4 compactron adaptor with manual and data settings for the 539B tester. This adaptor will let you test compactron tubes with your 539B tester. It has both 9 and 12 pin compactron sockets in addition to 9 pin mini and Nuvistor sockets. The manual/data sheet booklet that comes with it gives you instructions on how the set-up works. Test data appears to be fairly limited. I see settings for 6C10. 6D10, 6K11, 7868, and only one useful sweep tube setting for 6JS6C. Perhaps the roll chart on the 539B gives you the set-up for the other sweep tubes and the booklet adds info for ones not on the chart. I am not sure. I got this from my Dad about 20 years ago and never used it. Looks to be in very nice condition but has been sitting in my office closet. I have no tubes to test it but it powers up. Has a few marks on it in pencil and a red pencil mark near the center of the face. Has the original manual dated 1965 and the supplement for obsolete tubes dated 1968. Has some adaptors with it. Probably needs to be calibrated and gone over by someone qualified. It is heavy so I will ship economy and with insurance and tracking. If you want otherwise let me know at auctions end. In answer to a question. All sockets are in nice condition. There are no cracks that I can see.

Hickok 550X tube tester. Is overall clean and in good condition. There is some wear to the case covering(see photos) but still in pretty decent shape. The leather handle has some wear but still seems solid. This does power on and I tried a few of the functions and it seems like it all works well but I don't have the equipment to fully test the functions. Triplett 3414 tube tester: Fully functional. I replaced a bad capacitor in this. And cleaned all pots and switches about 10 years ago, and it still works great! Radio City 808A/ 808AA Tube& Set Tester It would appear that this tester could be used to test tubes and other electronic functions. It comes with a lead that appears to attach to the back end of a TV cathode ray tube. There is a probe and some other leads as well. One of the pointer knobs is cracked in half. It might be able to be repaired but I will include a similar replacement in case it cannot be fixed. The rear of the wooden case has some mold/mildew staining which may or may not be cleanable. The wooden case appears to be made of oak with very nice box corner joinery. The handle feels nice and solid as are the rubber feet on the bottom. The plastic window for the scroll chart is warped/bowed inward on one side. Overall the item is in very good cosmetic condition for being as old as it is(see pictures) The only test done was to power on item. This tube tester works great but does need a tuneup I've enjoyed having it. But don't use it much do I'm selling it and will be listing all my tubes in the next week too. It powers up and works great but could use a tuneup. The power cord is starting to Frey and the big porcelain tube socket is cracked and the small cord input could be replaced. The tube chart is a little tight and could use to be reset too. And there are dings in the case. But it still works great I've tested and sold tubes with it on Ebay and never had a complaint. All the meters function and are in great condition with out any cracks. And you can download a manual and updated tube charts on the internet. Please ask all questions prior to bidding. I have up for sale this great Knight model 83YX142/143 tube tester. I have tried to get this to work properly but I'm either doing something wrong. Or the filiment supply is not working. It won't test a tube. So, I'm selling this"as-is" for repair. It is complete, the needle deflects when turned on, and the light comes on under the tube chart which rolls as it should. It is missing 2 of the knob ends on the 3 position switches in the tube elements section. This also comes with the original build sheet and operating instructions. There should be plenty enough info to repair this.
