a GOOD FRIEND'S father was very high up in a military function and had this. It was handed to me for testing old amplifiers. It is in better condition than any I've seen. All functions seem up to speed. I have not been through a full diagnostic but like I said. The unit is pristine. You crack this juggernaut open and catch a whiff of WWII INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING TOTAL IS 144.44 applied at invoice The TV-7 series are built like tanks and seems to me. To be one of the best designed tube testers ever made. They are based on a Hickok design and are great for testing real old tubes prior to WWII. It will test many, but not all, tubes made after WWII. They come in different models like the TV-7/U, TV-7A/U, and the TV-7B/U. The TV-7D/U is a little different than the others with a little bit ... moremore range to test tubes. The TV-7D/U is also collected by the audio tube folks so they command higher prices. An important note here is that the TV-7 does not test most sweep tubes. That will require a tube tester of a later design since the TV-7 pre-dates sweep tubes. It will, however test the more common ham tubes like the 6146, 807, 6L6, and 811A. Its does use a 0-120 quality scale rather than reading true GMhos, which seems to be a major hangup with some people. There are translation tables out there to overcome this.

I am selling a a very nice TV-7-U military tube tester with a copy of the military manual. Supplemental Data, and Voltage Alignment Instructions. I picked this one up from a local HAM operator who has had it for a long time and recently had it gone over by another tech buddy in his HAM club and both tubes were replaced and it checked out AOK. It has not been sent off to have a high price alignment but I have every reason to believe it is working properly. I have tested a number of tubes including 6L6 and many audio tubes and I am getting the readings I would expect comparing them to my Hickok and Triplett testers. The case has a dent or two but the paint is very nice and the inside is clean and all sockets are tight. Has a socket saver in the octal socket. Ok folks what we have here is a Eico 635 tube tester for parts or repair-restore. As you can see in 1 photo the power lamp comes on. That is all I can tell you about it's condition other than it looks much better on the backside than the front. It is grubby looking but should clean up. The meter face is not busted but is scuffed. The wireing is ok but the very end of the power cord.The plug,needs replaceing in my opionion. There is no book work.No top for the case,this is all there is that I have. Here it is folks. Hickok 733A Gold- Calibrated& Everything Within Specs Works Great Late Version Hickok 733A Tube Tester Later Version that is Gold Anodized dated 1963 This later model has a calibration adjustment pot that can be seen in the pictures that is not on the earlier 533A testers. There are no resistor spools on this newer version 533A and it has precision resistors. A copy of the manual for this tester is included that includes calibration instructions and other important adjustment and information not included in the original manual. The schematic, and operating instructions. There is an abundance of available information including tube data available at no charge at Bama and elsewhere for Hickok 533A. Went through all the calibration steps and checked all the voltage specifications and they ... morewere all virtually perfect. Plate voltage. Bias voltages at 100, 75, 50, and 22, signal voltage, screen and low screen voltage, filament voltages and checked with 6l6 loaded, shorts test, and calibration tubes. The picture with the DMM is showing the line voltage for a 6L6 set at 6.3 volts, and with the 6L6 in the socket the line voltage reads 6.2 volts which is exactly where it should be which is an additional calibration procedure that is included with the manual. The line voltage being correct is critical to obtain proper Gm test results. Many Hickok testers can still be calibrated, but with a tube in the socket the line voltage drops under 6 volts and you get low Gm test readings. Tested a 6L6 calibration tube that tests with the exact Gm as the tube and a 6AX7 with that also tests with the exact Gm on both sections of the tube at 1440& 1400 Gm that are pictured. The meter is nice and not cluttered with unnecessary numbers making it easy to read the correct Gm or Good/Bad. This 533A also has the noise test which is something that anyone testing tubes for their amps may want to get used to using in order to weed out noisy tubes that test good. This is a meter that is used in Hickok 547A tube testers. It needs to be repainted. I do not know the specifications for the Hickok 547A meter so please consult the service manual. The meter moves smoothly. Full scale deflection occurs at 1.28 mA. Again. I do not know whether this is the proper reading or not; please consult your service manual. This is a Hickok 6000a tube tester that is in great working condition. I no longer will have a use for it. It functions great and allows you to test a wide variety of tubes. The roll chart rolls very easy and the outer casing has some rubs. The power cord shows wear, tears etc.

This is a nice. Clean meter. The movement operates smoothly w/o sticking. I do not know the original specifications, I can only report that it has been tested and the following was found. The resistance is 1,200 ohms. The sensitivity is 90 micro amperes for full scale deflection. So, if you need a replacement meter for your tester then consult the manual for the meter specifications. The unit is in incredibly good shape and clean. It appears as if it's hardly ever been used. I purchased the unit pictured and some vintage stereo equipment from an older gentleman who was moving and downsizing his collection. He was kind enough to take the time and demonstrate with a few different tubes that the unit was in prime working condition. I was planning to start tinkering around with tube amp repair. But I just haven't had time so this beauty must go. I'd rather someone get some use out of it than have it set in my closet. Scratches, and chipped paint. The screws that hold the chassis into the case and the bottom feet are missing. The handle is taped and may not be original. The octal plug on the set analyzer cable has a missing locating key, but you could replace it with a plug taken from an old metal tube. The tube chart is present, and the tube tester portion works. The manual is present, but I have not tried the set analyzer or VOM sections. It checks 4, 5, 6, and 7-pin tubes, 7-pin miniature, as well as octal and loctal tubes. Out of a friend's estate and up for auction is a Hickok Cardmatic tube tester. It blows the line fuse when turned on and it has been determined that the main power transformer is shorted and thus needs to be replaced. Not the transformer that supplies the voltages for all of the tube sockets-the other one. It is the one that is in the upper left hand corner of the picture that shows the underside of the tester. It is unknown if there is anything else wrong with the tester. But I did lift the leads going to the meter and, checked with a Fluke digital ohm meter got a reading of 259 ohms. I have an older Heathkit TT-1 Tube Tester for sale. The case of the tester is in somewhat poor shape. Overall it's a desirable unit that would make a nice project. Case is coming apart on the edge. Hinges are loose. Please look at the closeup photo. I don't know much about testers, so I can't say if you can simply re-drill those hinge holes and re-fasten, or what. The material of the case is also pretty rough- faded, dirty, etc. Tester is untested. I wouldn't know where to begin. Panel is dusty and dirty. But the unit looks complete. It's somewhat loose from the case itself- see photo how I lifted it up out of the case a bit. I don't know how it's supposed to attach or whether this is typical. I see it as an issue, could be due to the case not being so great. I'm ... moresure it would need to be gone through- tested, caps replaced, calibrated, whatever it needs. It's a project- don't expect it to work. Has several manuals with it. I'm sure others can be found online to print off. It's really heavy. This meter is complete and has all 3 leads. Two with end probes, the common lead having an aligator clamp. Power cord is in good condition. The unit was powered up and the red power indicator light was illuminated. It has Polyoxybenzylmethylenglycolanhydride selector knobs. The meter did respond to low voltage AC and DC current but I did not have it set correctly to get an acurate reading. I can not identify the model without researching it more. But it does look exactly like pictures of models V-4a and V-5 posted about the internet. Though the two models do have subtle, but distinguishable features, there does appear to be some confusion about which is which among those posting photos. I do not have time tonight to sort it out, so I leave it to those of you who either know, want to know, ... moreor do not care. Either way, it seems to be circa- early 1950s. As pictured. Up for auction is this Vintage Mercury Model 1100 Portable Tube Tester. Used for Diagnostic testing of vacuum tubes from old Radios. TV's, Amp's. Came out of the estate of an old electrician who also moonlighted as a TV repair guy. First and foremeost, I know virtually nothing about vacuum tubes from vintage devices, let alone testing them. There is no manual included with tester. I only had one old radio in the house. So I removed the tube, plugged it into a tube port that fit the pin profile. turned the unit on, and flipped a couple dials til I got it to light. So, there is functionality. very possibly fully functional, but there's no way for me to demonstrate that, or warrant it. I attached a YouTube Video so you can see the unit in action. I shot it in the dark ... moreso you can see the glow from the tube. Cosmetically. It's in very decent condition for it's age, no significant flaws, just some general age wear, and a bit of fine paint spritz and rusty buckles and hinges on the outside case. This is a working Hickok 6000A Tube tester. It's in pretty nice condition overall. Outside has the usual scrapes and tears, inside has far less blemishes. The meter lens is cracked as seen in pics but does not interfere with operation and looks worse in the pic than in person, the grid cap lead has a chip out of the side but works as it should. The handle was broken but repaired with a super strong aircraft glue and is holding solid, at the same time I reinforced the inside of the box with aircraft glue and it is nice and solid. The corners have loose fabric that will probably glue down nicely but I don't have glue to suit that purpose. I did check the calibration and everything is within factory specs according to sources online. I do not have a manual for this tube tester but it ... morecan be downloaded for free on the web. I do have a printed copy of the updated tube chart that are not listed on the roll. The roll chart works well but does get tight near the ends. If you are not familiar with these tube testers I highly recommend that you download a free copy online; this tester will probably do far more testing than you think. Very Clean unit for the late 70s. Model CM16549 Chart is in perfect working order 96 socket faceplate is clean and all sockets look pretty good, pulled faceplate and as you can see the wiring is in perfect shape, unmolested other than the power cord inside bypassed to eliminate the back light. Cord needs replacing and have not the time to look into the repair of this unit, priorities have changed in retirement. So here is how I bought it and I will pass along the same deal, i will list at $285 and shipping is on me. Lower 48 sale only, local pick up is fine also, it will likely cost me the better part of a hundred to ship this but if your looking for a tester in better condition you will be paying a lot more.

nice. Restored Hickok 539A the Caddilac of mutual conductance lab-grade tube testers. If you are looking at this, you know what it is and how nice it is! This one has been nicely cleaned up with most of the tube sockets replaced with brand new sockets(4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 7, 8, octal) and the others replaced with very good but used sockets. All resistors checked and replaced were needed, and caps replaced as well. Calibrated, this comes with a copy of the users manual, and has been rewired for safe operation with a modern 3-prong AC plug. Please feel free to ask questions.

This is an original tube set-up book for Mighty-Mite TC tube testers. Works with most of their TC testers except the TC162/TC28 Hybrider. The cover does have a warp in it but the other pages are excellent.the back covers actually still have the sticky strips and I peeled one back a bit and it is still sticky! Thanks for looking!

It needs a good surface cleaning and probably an interior cleaning as well. I have not opened up the face of it. The power light comes on and all the knobs are functioning as far as I can tell. As is the“rolling” graph or chart at the bottom. I don’t know how to use the equipment and there is no manual, so this unit is being sold“AS IS” with the power-up feature working as shown. I got the needle on the Dynamic Mutual Conductance gage to move by accidentally turning one of the knobs when it was powered up. The manuals shown were found inside the unit and consist of a GE Electronic’s Essential Characteristics 302 page manual and a Hickok Adapter chart. There ... moreis also a Hickok CRT adapter and a Vibrator Test Adapter as shown in the photo. There is also some sort of socket on a wire coming out of the top of the control box and two orange sockets of some sort as shown in the photo. This is a Navy Department 1960's TV- 10/U Test Set. Electron Tube. The label states this tester is made for the Navy Dept. Bureau of Ships. The tester was made by the Forway Industries. I picked up this tester when I bought a collection of radio tubes. I plugged in the tester and it lit up so I presumed it works. Here for your consideration is a Hickok Model 539A True Mutual Conductance Tube Tester. This is one of the best Tube Testers ever made. This one was well used and was probably the service call tube tester as the cabinet has quite a few scrapes and nicks that are now covered by Black Duct Tape. But the cabinet did a nice job of protecting the tube tester. This large 19” x 17” x 8” tester has 9 sockets and covers 4 pin, 5 pin, 6 pin, 7 pin, acorn, octal, loctal, 7 pin miniature, and 9 pin miniature. It has tube socket savers in the octal, 7 pin miniature, and 9 pin miniature sockets. I took this to my Tech friend Tom, and he replaced the pilot lamp and the 2 electrolytic capacitors. This should be ready for years of use. TV-2C/U Military Army Tube Tester TV-2(Hickok) Working Great Condition This is the granddaddy of all the military-grade tube-testers. I purchased this straight from the original owner a year or two ago. It is in amazing un-molested condition with the original documentation. I have printed an additional chart for tube test settings. The roller chart is intact and works. This unit is very easy to use once you get the hang of it. You just dial in the settings according to the different columns. The meters all respond and appear to be accurate. I have not performed a calibration as the unit appeared not to need one since I received it. The manual details the process of how to do this if ever necessary. You will notice that the meter reads percent quality instead of Gm. This EICO 666 belonged to an avid radio operator here in Central IL. It's in overall pretty good shape for its age(SN-1007) The face is clean and appears to be all original knobs. Buttons& switches. The unit has been powered up and appears to be in operating condition. The outside metal case does show signs of wear, but could easily be painted if you wish to do that. Also included is a very nice copy of the owners manual with full operation detail as well as tube charts(including tube update information) In addition, there is a supplemental tube test box for additional tube testing. It appears to have been made by the gentleman who owned this originally. If you are in to old radios, amplifiers this tube tester would be a useful tool in testing your tube type electronics. SENCORE TC 142 MIGHTY MITE V VACUUM TUBE TESTER* Has the original 101 page set up book in the cover which covers over 3.000 tube types. Sencore is known for making very high quality test equipment- the TC 142 is one of their best. I tested six different NEW tubes of different uses, 6BQ6, 6SQ7, 5Y3, 6FQ7, 12AU7 and 6AQ5. I then tested them on my Western Electric/Hickok KS-15750. They tested very close. It's very clean, socket pins are nice and tight so they grip the tube pins tightly. The unit is in very good shape both mechanically and electrically and even the rubber feet on the bottom of the case show no or very little wear. The faulty pot was discarded and is not included. Easy to install. Last calibrated about ten years ago. Clean face, no major blemishes or issues except what can be seen on the OUTSIDE of the case(see pics) Simple to use micromhos meter with good or bad readout makes testing tubes so easy a child could do it! It was a tough decision as I have over 11.000 tubes in stock and I use my testers a lot. This was originally bought and owned by a Local University in the 1960's and I have now owned it for about 17 years. While at the school it was very lighted used and always kept properly serviced and calibrated. In fact the last calibration tag is still attached to the handle, but I can't read or see a date on it. I also believe this sat in their large storage area for almost 20 years or possibly even more, seeing absolutely no use during all that time! When I acquired it around 1998 I completely disassembled and properly cleaned everything.including all of the controls with mild contact cleaner to remove any oxidation.Before I plugged it in. Here is a Westmore 501 tube tester. From what I have found it is almost identical to the Triplett 3444 tester but made for the government. You can research that more if needed. I assume if you are bidding you know what a great tube tester these are. I have had it for about a dozen years and got it from an old ham operator. I can't tell you much about the calibration since I have never had it calibrated. It does seem to all work fine and I have used it to test many tubes like 6SN7's for my Mcintosh amplifiers and they fall into the normal ranges. The case is in nice condition with a few worn corners. This is one of the first tube testers that I ever bought and I purchased the all inclusive complete manual after I bought the tester. I think I paid about $30 just for the manual) I just went completely through this unit again: It received a Complete Cleaning Inside and Out. I Polished the Exterior Plastic Cabinet Body( got most all defects! I Cleaned the Front Face and Polished with Anti-Static Polish, I even Cleaned and Preserved the Power Cord.etc. etc. etc. I just tested this with a 12AX7 and a 6SN7(pictured)both dual filament tubes. Everything about this vintage tester works as it should! The 9 pin tube socket is starting to get loose. As is typical. It will need replacement soon or one of those fix-a-sockets. This is for a Hickok model 6000A micromha tube tester. This tester looks to be in very good condition. I know nothing about these so ill describe the best I can. The only fault I see is a little wear on the red outside of the case. I did not plug the tester in because I would not know what happens anyway. I can not imagine it not working as clean as it is. vacuum tube testing cone? it fits 2 different size rings at top of vacuum tube I had the paper telling me what it is but couldn't find.1 3/4 at base looks used seems like they put that over them to test at factory.please use your judgment on this piece but if any one knows what this is I would love to know its very interesting im sure its had its fair share of mini expolsions in it black heated color on the inside.has like a half inch up where they took the chrome off for better connections any questions feel free to ask thanks for looking item sold as is please see our other auctions

You plug this into the 8 pin socket on older model tube testers(including Hickock and other testers. Not just Sencore) and you can test Compactrons, 9 and 11 pin) Nuvistors and some 9 pin tubes that could not be tested on earlier models. You just plug the adapter into the 6V6. 6J5 or 35Z5 socket on your tester(depending on tube type to be tested) and test the tube via this adapter.
