Bob's Template Another great estate sale find! This DAY RAD DayRad TRI-TEST TUBE TESTER. Is from the 1930's. I believe it is working. I plugged it in and the meter indicator needle moved to the center position. I pressed the test button and the needle went all the way left to the BAD position. It looks like someone added battery power to it. If you look to the left you will see what i am saying. Down in the that compartment were 3 Rayovac D"leak proof" batteres. AND THEY DID NOT LEAK. It comes with the original probes and the ac dord is good. The wood case is made of OAK wood and is dove tailed. Nice tester! I will combine shipping on multiple listings. But I believe it reads"Jul 25 1945" Solid wood case; very weathered on the exterior. And handle replaced with rope. It did it's job of protecting the contents. The ends of the wire leads for the tube tester both have cracks and chips out of the plastic. No problem, just use a little bit of care when using them. Power plug was damaged. It is replaced. And the fuses were moved inside the cabinet. Internals all in very good shape. No crumbling wires. Corrosion, or loose solder joints. This is a vintage TV 2 tube tester made by LaPointe Industries in good condition. Serial number is# 200. If you know this tube tester it can test many types of tubes with adjustments of many tube variables. I tested a few tubes with this recently after bringing it up slowly on a Variac. It seems to work as described in an online manual I found. But as with any vintage electronics it may need some refurbishment for good operation. This is also not calibrated. One small issue is a hairline crack in the glass on the signal meter. It's very difficult to see, but I wanted to disclose at least everything that I observed. Vintage Sencore Mighty Mite Tube Tester. Model# TC-109. Works great. Comes with a tube test set-up manual, instructions are printed on the top panel. Test sockets for 8 pin octal and loctal tubes and 7,9 pin miniature tubes. All controls, switches and sockets were cleaned. Circuit capacitor replaced, new power cord. 7,9 pin sockets replaced. Cover hinge repaired with pop rivet. Printing for D selector letters were replaced with label maker letters. The function control stop doesn't stop but tester still works fine. Great for testing amplifier, audio, hi/fi, stereo, radio and tv tubes. Shows some age but is in overall good condition.

The I-177 tube tester and later versions were designed by and licensed to Hickok using their technology and appears to be completely original. It was probably manufactured in late 1944 and"MFP'd" moisture and fungi proofed) in January 1945 judging by the date stamp. The manual is dated 7 April 1949 24pp. All controls operate and function as they should. The meter movement is smooth and surrounded by a great looking panel. This is a vintage tube tester Precision Apparatus Model 912. I know nothing about it. So I am selling for parts or repair only. I don't even know how to test it. I have a working tube tester, another model, so I'm not really interested in researching using another unit. It came from an electronics repair shop. There is a manual, and a lot of notes inside box. Box has seen better days, but is still functional. Actually an easy fix if you want to spend the time in putting new veneer on it. Up for sale here is this vintage Hickok 600A tube tester. I picked up this tester from an estate many years ago. And it has been sitting on a box in my basement since then. I plugged it in and two light bulbs on the front lit up very faintly, but I tried to test a tube and got nothing. The bulbs stopped lighting up after that. I would assume that this needs recalibration at minimum, and possibly more than that. The big sprague grey thing on the back(resistor? appears to be cracked. The paper roll scrolls smoothly and reads great. Cord is fine. I have not cleaned, repaired, tested, or worked on this in any way. This tester has no case unfortunately. Read out screen is clear of scratches and crack free. Measures 10" x 12 1/2" x 4 1/2" In good shape for its age and in working condition. A very early and quite popular emission tester from Eico was the Model 625. While it is a basic emission tester. The Model 625 is very compact and easy to use. The Model 625 is also one of the few(only? Eico tube testers I know of that has a vacuum tube under the panel. A 6H6 rectifies one of the AC filament voltage for the neon bulb used in the'Shorts' test. Model 625 was'updated to accommodate newer tubes developed during the 1950's, and was christened the Model ... more628. Still a simple emission tester. The Model 628 continues with the new'modern' look to the line of Eico test equipment. While the array of controls looks intimidating, they really are not. Up for auction is a vintage Knight tube tester It is a model KG 600 b. It is in good as found condition. Purchased from a recent garage sale. The previous owner told me it works. I have turned it on and it does work in that respect. I have not run tests on it. I know nothing at all about old electronics and I know even less about vacuum tubes. Also I have no tubes to test. The exterior or the case is dirty and dusty, but the inside is pretty clean. The lid/top of the case has the previous owners initial painted on. The case is good and solid, there is no breaks or repairs. There is some surface rust on the hinges and closing clasps. there is some spots of the faux leather cover coming loose. I believe that its retail price then was somewhere around $1500, which was about the price of a new car, so not many were made and few would have ended up anywhere other than a lab. JACKSON TYPE 648A TUBE TESTER For your consideration. We are offering a vintage vacuum tube tester. Partially tested to be in working condition. I powered it up. It adjusts properly to my line voltage. I tested an old 6E5, seems fine, nice bright display and 110% reading. Then I tried a 76 triode and it came up 90% Then I tried a 12AU7 and it came up 5% but it tested great on my EICO 628. So I figure it needs restoration. All the buttons seem to be working good, some were sticking at fist, but got better as I kept working them. So it has good transformers. Good meter and good controls. Schematic on the bottom, inside. Clean chassis internals. Heck, the handle isn't even broken. OK, the case cover is rough. That's easy. Overall, restoration should be pretty inexpensive. That being said this little unit can do a lot of tests on a lot of different tubes and I have only tried a couple. The good news is that mechanically everything appears to be in good shape. When testing the switches and knobs all of the detents are crisp. The only obvious flaw is that two of the knobs on the switches on the bottom are missing and there are cracks in the insulation of the tube wire. The scrolling tube chart is complete and readable but there is some yellowing of the paper. Fortunately, because this unit was so iconic there is a lot of info available on them including schematics. Radio City Products Model 309 Dynoptimum Test tube tester. Includes 6 sheets of tube data, the operating instructions are glued to the inside lid. The tester powers on and the meter will set to the line adjust point and this will test tubes but it needs repairs. The"LV Control" to adjust the line voltage has dead spots and the"Shunt Control" is flaky at best, all other switches/controls appear to function just fine, when testing known good tubes the meter reading is lower than expected, for some much lower. Military TV-7A/U that is in Excellent working condition and nice cosmetic condition compared to most other than it is missing the clasps that hold the tube data setting book shown in the photos. You will see in the photos it line adjusts perfectly and also is shown testing my 6L6 calibration tube which is rated at 40 and showing a reading of 40 on the meter so it is very accurate and I have tested and sold several tubes here on ebay with this very tester and nothing but great feedback. Jackson 648R Tube Tester-EXCELLENT! 648 Works Great This listing is for a vintage Jackson 648R tube tester in exceptional condition. It works great. And except for some wear on the wood case, it looks nearly new. I have not seen another on eBay in quite some time in this excellent shape. The 648R is one of the more recent versions of the classic Jackson 648 tube tester. This"R" series replaced the"648A in 1958 and was manufactured until 1961. It is preferable to earlier models in that it uses a diode instead of an internal 1S5 tube for calibrating line voltage. So it seldom needs calibration. It also features a Flip/Over tube socket bank. I see no significant defects on the tester- it looks nearly new in all respects except for external case wear. The switches. Knobs, meter, ... moreand chassis all look near new. There is almost no wear on any of the plastic or metal parts. The knobs and switches all appear to be original. Paint is excellent near new. There is some very slight corrosion of some of the Philips head wood screws that hold the chassis to the case. The outside of the case has some minor dings and light corrosion as seen in the photos. The case is solid and clean and all the latches. Hinges, handles work great. If you refinished the leatherette exterior the whole thing would look near new. Please contact me with questions or for additional photos. I have used it as my primary tester for about 10 years and have never had a problem. When I first got it I checked it against a friends Hickok and the readings matched very closely. I have had no reason to adjust things since then(in light use. Perhaps 10 tube tests a year) Instructions for calibration are easy to find online if you want to do that. Included on the top cover are the Operation Instructions and an Additional Tube Guide. The built in rolling tube guide is in excellent shape. I am also including(not shown in the photos) a 12 page photo copy of a newer tube guide dated 1965. This unit has been professionally restored and calibrated and is in excellent condition for it's age It has some scratches on the case but the interior face looks good as you can see from the photos This unit is very heavy so the shipping cost A newer version of the 600. Same electronics as. Just includes the newer tube sockets of the late'60's& 70's. Electronic restoration and calibration just completed. Works well, roll chart in very good condition. Here are 4 four pin adapters for early 201 tubes. Maybe others. Frost 611. One has rim chip and one has been modified with soldered four pin plug.

Here is a Precision tube tester. Model 612, serial#3229 and check older tubes. It has not been tested other than pluged in and meter works. Probably works, but sold as-is, untested. Case shows wear and very dirty.
