Up for auction is a VINTAGE SUPERIOR INSTRUMENT CO. MODEL TD-55 TUBE TESTER w/ CHARTS. CASE& MANUAL. This tester looks to be in good condition. When I plug it in and turn it on, I can hear a slight humming sound and the needle bounces a bit. That is all the testing that was done as that is all I know how to do. The plastic covering over the meter is a bit hazy but you can still read through it. All of the knobs, switches and dials are present and move as they should. There is also a vinyl carry case, an operating instruction manual, a tube tester trouble finder chart and a tube chart dated April 1957. Please ask any questions before bidding and good luck!

Vintage Heathkit Mutual Conductance Tube Tester. Model# TT-1. Works great. Calibrated on 02/24/2013. Comes with a copies of the instruction and tube test set-up manuals. It also has a built-in roll chart for test set-up. Test sockets for: 4, 5, 6, 7 pin early type tubes, 8 pin octal and loctal tubes, 7,9,10 pin miniature tubes, 9,12 pin novar and compactron tubes and 5,7 pin nuvistor tubes. All switches, controls and tube sockets were cleaned. All capacitors replaced. Newer roll chart window, good power cord and grid cap leads. This is a very high-end tube tester. Here is a vintage meter for the series 920 Electronamic tube& set tester made by the Precision Apparatus Co. of Elmhurst. NY. It measures decibels, AC& DC voltage, ohms, tubes and diodes. It measures 4.625" wide by 4.125" high. It has mounting screw centers of 4" by 3.625" The mounting hardware is included. It has a nice black bakelite case with no cracks, chips or hairlines. The glass cover is in nice shape as well. It has a screw adjustment for zeroing the needle on the front. This would make a great replacement for your non-working meter! New British Digital Preamp Tube Valve Tester IMP Mini TT only 5 months old Here is a British Digital Preamp Tube/Valve Tester called the"Tube IMP mini TT" It specifically tests 9-pin tubes in the 12AX7.12AU7, 12AT7,ECC88,6922 tubes. Here is the info from the manufacturer's website. The Tube IMP mini TT is designed to measure the steady state current. Gain and transconductance characteristics of B9A double triodes with the standard ECC83/ ECC88 footprint. Controls and indicators Test selector The test selector selects between: Cathode current. This is a direct reading of the DC cathode(and anode) current passing through the section of the valve under test in mA. Transconductance. In this test an AC signal is fed to the grid. And the resultant AC current at the cathode is amplified ... moreand rectified to give a reading. Transconductance is the change in cathode current in mA divided by the change in grid voltage in volts(mA/V) Gain. For this test the HT supply is switched in to high impedance current source mode. As the HT supply is not a perfect infinite impedance current source, valves with a higher anode impedance will appear to have less gain. This is one RARE bird of a tube tester! Eico 650 Dyna Quik. Recapped and cleaned! Dynamic Mutual Conductance Tube Tester. Will easily do GOOD/BAD tests or Gm testing just by adjusting the Sensitivity potentiometer. Very easy to use! Tests both sides of a dual triode(6SN7.12AX7, 12AU7,etc) with the flick of a single switch. In the pictures you can see me testing both sides of a 6SN7 that is very well balanced. Only about 50Gm difference from one side to the other. Overall 7.5 to 8 out of 10 condition. Comes with Setup book and Mercury AD-4 Adapter for compactrons. Case shows some age but still in better condition than most old tube testers. Comes with a good. tested 83 rectifier tube and a good tested 6AT5. Mutual Conductance tests appear within 100Gm of my calibrated Hickok USM118B and my ... morecalibrated TV7D Testers. 100Gm is ridiculously close when comparing tube testers! Hickok tube tester model 750 works great(been using) NO LID it does need new red and black jacks at top of tester. Here for your consideration is a good working. Guaranteed Eico model 625 tube tester. This is a great tester for musicians. Hi-Fi owners, Hams, hobbyists, tube collectors, etc. This tester has been professionally repaired and tested for calibration. It tests most popular audio and radio tubes. Including 6L6, 6V6, 6550, EL34, 6CA7, 6BQ5/EL84, 12AX7, 12AT7, most rectifier tubes, etc. It also tests the old four, five and six pin tubes, as well as seven and nine pin miniatures and loctals. There is no socket for compactrons, although Eico made an adapter(model 610) which sometimes shows up on Ebay. This is an emission tester. It does not measure transconductance like much more expensive Hickoks. But it will certainly tell you if your tubes are good or bad, and check for shorts. If you are in the ... morebusiness of selling tubes, you need a Hickok. If you just need to know the basic condition of your tubes, then this tester will work fine for you. You can test tubes very fast with this tester. It is easy to set up and use. It is also not as susceptible to damage from incorrect setups as some testers. An inexperienced user can easily damage a Hickok. I have repaired and restored this tester to good working condition. The Carbon composition resistors that affect calibration have usually drifted badly out of tolerance on these testers. I replace them with modern 2% tolerance resistors. The tester is now very accurate. I have owned several of these. As well as several Hickoks, and it reads consistent with all of them. I replaced the old two-wire AC line cord with a grounded three-wire cord for your safety. I replaced the test leads with good quality test prod wire. One of the top cap connectors is chipped. But it does not affect it's function. I replaced some missing knobs using correct types. I also repainted the outer case which had some rust. You are viewing a very nice classic vintage tube tester which performs as well as it looks! Not the cheap emission type tester. But you knew that. Tests the more recent vintage tubes as well as the older 4 pin tubes(201A,etc. that were in my Atwater Kent model 20 that I restored. Comes with original Eico construction manual as well as 2 or 3 tube data setup manuals. Very rugged and fairly heavy. Also pictured is a rare,sold separately and optional Eico 610 plug in tester for nuvistors. I have not tested it. I will sell to 666 purchaser for $20 prior to separate eBay listing later. nice and working Sylvania tube tester Model 140. Super clean with NO corrosion or rust, tube sockets best I have ever seen on a tube tester! I have gone thru the tester and replaced all out of spec resistors and tested for proper operation, while I do not have a manual for this, I do have an online file I can email, the tester noted as a dynamic tester. The roll chart lists 9-pin tubes, however there is no 9-pin socket on it, there is a space for a socket so that a 9-pin can be wired in, although I do not have instructions for doing so, probably can be found online. Up for sale is a very early Hickok model AC 47 mutual conductance tube tester with Hickok Multiplex socket adapter. In green velvet padded carrying case with leather handle. This was Hickok's 5th model of tube tester introduced in 1930, and is in real nice cosmetic condition, though please note that due to the age of this Hickok tester I have not plugged it in, so working condition is unknown and am selling as-is and as-found, due to being 80+ years old I'm sure some component testing should be done before powering up. This is a great estate find from upstate NY. It is a Hickok model 600A tube tester. It has the instruction manual and a roll chart. I don't have any tubes to test nor do I know anything about tube testers. I cannot verify the working condition of this tester because of my lack of knowledge. I do know that the light(as seen in the photo) does turn on although it does flicker very faintly. The chord is a little stiff and there are a couple rips in the rubber towards the plug. It measures 17" wide. 11" deep and 8" tall and is in a hard case that snaps closed. There is some wear to the red case, such as spots where the bare wood is showing through and one of the metal feet has pushed through the wood case. For your consideration is a Precision Model 620 Dynamic Conductance Tube Tester. The tester works great and seems to be accurate. But the meter is a little“sticky” The meter is fine as long as you tap it to make sure it settles down correctly(which you are supposed to do anyway) I suspect there is some dust in the meter vane but I am not a meter repair person and I’m not going to attempt to clean it and end up bending the needle, etc. My hands just aren’t steady enough. I’ve tested a lot of tubes with it and it works fine. The case could use a coat of clear varnish to perk it up after all these years. The handle and hinges are good but it could use new rubber feet. Up for auction is a vintage Quick Chek tube tester by Reliable Electronics Corporation from approximately 1957. I rescued it from a garage in Lancaster. CA where it had been collecting desert dust for 20 years plus. The unit is in working condition. I am using a 12SK7 Tube for demonstration purposes. These type of testers were placed in drug stores and the like for consumers to test their tubes. It is not a professional tester like the Hickok 600A. Although it allows for testing of dual plate tubes like 12AX7's. It can't test each plate separately. I believe it tests both plates simultaneously and as a result a good one will exceed the meter limits and peg it all the way to the right. I would classify the cosmetic condition to be fair or less than fair. The tube charts are intact however ... moreon the bottom of the right chart the lamination has been separated taking some of the chart with it. When you push it down with your finger it is readable. Because of it's age I am selling it"AS IS" without a guarantee or warranty and therefore can't accept returns. Due to the size of the unit I cannot ship it so it is a LOCAL PICKUP ONLY. Hickok Model 799 Vacuum Tube Tester This unusually rare tube tester. Dubbed the'Mustang' was developed in 1965 by Hickok Electrical Instrument Company. in Cleveland Ohio and it retailed for $199 or $1,500 in today's money. I purchased this beautifull unit about 12 years ago in a Ham Fest here in Florida. I repaired and used it for awhile then it stayed in the attic, with my Hi-Fi& tube collection until I moved out recently. As you can see in the pictures. This beautiful unit tester looks to be in good condition, I have never seen one like this 20" long by 7" tall by 16" wide. This is not a light weight cheap tube tester but is approx 23 lbs. so you know the quality was put into the unit.
