Up for sale is a Century model FC-2 fast test tube tester made by Mercury in Mineola. NY, USA in 1959. As you can see in the picture, I tested a 5U4 and the meter registered all the way into the green. I also tested several 12AX7s and some 6V6s. All tested as they should. The unit has all the original booklets and I am including a Radioshack tube substitution book that came with the tester. Besides working properly, the outside oak case is near immaculate and still has its little rubber feet on the back side. This is a very clean unit. The tester also has the picture tube tester. Which is the extra cable laying on the metal plate. I did not have a CRT to test, but I assume it works fine. The settings for CRTs are in the back of the tube chart.

An exceptionally clean piece of vintage test equipment. Bought from a working shop, I've plugged it in, tested as I could, here it is telling me the tube out of my TransOceanic is leaking and dead, but everything seems to be working properly, lights light, dials dial or click, toggles toggle, no damage, cord is clean and supple, no cracks, ready to be put to work. You are bidding on a Dyna-Quik Model 700 Dynamic Mutual Conductance Tube Tester with Manual. I have tested 4 tubes on this tester(6SN7.5V4, 12BY7, 6L6) Those are sockets 25,33,9, and 29. I have not tested the rest of this unit with the exception of number 8 which I found was not working when I tried to test a 12ax7. I replaced two tubes in this tester a#83 and a 6BN8. The tester works as seen in the pictures with a 6SN7 tube. The circuit transfer works on this unit as well. The gauge is faded on the replaced(not good tube side) but is still functional. Here is a Precision 920 Electronamic tube tester. It is marked Mfd. Mar 1945. It tests 4 pin tubes. It has a new. Good power cord and grid cap cord. It's rough looking, but seems to work OK. I tested it with a 6au6 and a 5V4 and both tested as they should. No other testing was done. Short indicator works and has new capacitor. Line adjust works fine.

This is a Burton Roger Tube Checker Type B made in 1926 by The Radio Products Co. of Dayton Ohio. I've never plugged it in so I don't know whether or not it works. I just haven't had time to play around with it. It would make a nice addition to someone's collection of vintage equipment. The bakelite case is cracked. The glass on the gage is broken. The leather carrying handle is mostly gone. 1 screw is missing on the cover.

HICKOK 752 Mutual Conductance Tube Tester VG Condition/ Works/ Great for Audio Very nice Hickok model 752. These are the famous FAA type tube testers. Clean inside and out. Excellent panel and working roll chart. There is some normal wear around the roll chart thumb wheel and short switch otherwise looks great. The outer black fabric case is in much better shape than normally found. Please see the pictures for condition. Clean. Original chassis. Tested fine with several typical audio tubes. The 752 has some special features not found on most Hickok tube tester. One of these features is the ability to check double section tubes(like 12AX7) without resetting the selector switches to test the second triode. You simply push the"Plate 2" button and the quality of the second tube section ... moreis automatically registered on the meter. This makes this tester an ideal one for the audiophile market as audio equipment is typically loaded with double triodes. Hickock replaced the 539 with the 752. These still used the basic Hickok GM two tube circuit and the 752 was considered a laboratory tester and had additional functions such as the second grid setting and capability to test multistage tubes without reconfiguration. Here is a Vintage Military Tube Tester model I-177B in very good cosmetic condition for its age. It does work and was tested using a few old tubes I had as shown.Tube socket A was used using a 5Z3 tested good. I'm not real for sure of the capabilities or the features of this model. I have plugged it in and tested some AA and AAA batteries and that feature does work correctly. The paper scroll does scroll smoothly. Made by Chicago model 532. The case measures shut 15 1/2" by 12 1/2" by 8 1/2" The lid opens and has a mirror attached to it. Overall the operating board and case are in good shape. I have no way of testing the complete capabilities of this unit because I don't have the tubes or the knowledge. Money back if not satisfied. Simpson 1000 Tube Tester. The tube tester is a Plate Conductance type of tube tester. Much better than your simple emissions testers. This tester is nearly identical to the Eico 666 tube tester. Other than the lever knobs are reversed. The question arises. Did Simpson design the tester and Eico copied it? Or did Eico design it and Simpson copy it? My guess is that Simpson designed the circuitry and Eico being a"Kit Operation" slightly modified it so they could sell kits of this excellent tube tester. As to how the tester setup is made. The first 9 lever knobs correspond to Tube Pin Numbers 1 through 9 they are labeled A-I the knob J the 10th one is the Grid Cap lever. K then sets the plate and screen grid voltages and L sets the shunt resistor value across the meter. You also will ... moreset the Bias and Range knobs as per needed for each tube setup. Hickok calls these Bias and English knobs. The positions of the first 9 lever knobs is. 0 = ground. 1 = Filament, 2 = Screen Grid, 3 = plate, 4 = control grid bias, 5 = open no connection. Once you learn to operate this tube tester its reasonably easy to devise tests for tubes that aren't listed in any of the books or obsolete tube lists. I have been through this tester and done capacitor replacement. Resistor checking and calibration. I have had this tester for several years. I just have too many tube testers so this one needs to find a nice loving home. The case on the tube tester has some rough spots on the covering. Mostly on the corners. See all Photo's for case condition. The original Manual is included with the tube tester. Also included is a photocopied listing of Obsolete Tube settings. I also have the obsolete listings in PDF form and can be supplied after the auction is completed. Here's a Sencore TC-28 Tube and Transistor tester. I tested a tube on it. And it seems fine, but since I'm no expert and because of it's age it is sold As Is. The meter and all the switches and controls move freely. The high-voltage and transistor leads are in good shape. The original set up book is complete. This Sylvania 220 tube tester is in operating condition. The inside works is in excellent condition including the roller data chart. This one of the classic tube testers of the tube era which seems to be coming back. The metal case has some rust on the latches and a couple paint drips on the cover.

Hickok 6000 Tube Tester Calibrated& All Within Specs 50 Tubes& 6L6 Included Hickok 6000 Dynamic Mutual Conductance Tube Tester Information including the manual. Calibration procedures, and updated tube data are readily available at no charge at Bama and elsewhere. All the specs were checked and the tester calibrated and the line voltage with a 6L6 in the socket is at 6.2 volts that will help ensure accurate Gm test results. The two tubes in the tester are both RCA, 83 and 5Y3, were new in 10/2013 and both tested and balanced. This tester did not come with this case and is held down with only four screws although in the original case all ten were used. The plate on the case goes to this tester and the cases and plates were swapped with another tester. We did not plan on selling this ... moretester and the appearance of the case was unimportant as long as the tester functioned properly. All the specs were checked and the tester calibrated in 10/2013 and has been used little since. Notes during the calibration were recorded on a blank page in the manual. We use an outside source for the calibration tube and the tester is reading 5400 for Gm and the tube calls for 5475. This could be easily corrected. And according to the calibration procedures, the shunt dial would be tagged about one number or so lower to show 5475, but that has not been done and will be left up to the new owner. The calibration tube's Gm reading is from a 533A and from a very reputable and trusted source. The Hickok 6000 series is fairly simple to calibrate and instructions on calibration. The manual, and updated foreign and domestic tube data is readily available at no charge. The calibration can be done using a DMM as long as shunts are used and this tester was calibrated using both an analog and DMM. This tester has a pot to set the line voltage and with a 6L6 in the socket the line is at 6.2 volts which is where it needs to be. Here's a very nice Eico 666 tube tester. This is one of the nicest looking ones I've ever seen. Even the case is very nice. Inside. It's had the old caps and diodes replaced and it's been calibrated according to eico specs. Manual is included which also has some chart updates and even the building instructions. The Pictures show it testing a marginal 6L6 and then a new 6L6. The third tube being tested is a new RCA 12AX7. NOTE: the 12AX7 data settings on the chart are wrong. The correct ones are written on the front of the manual.

This is an almost pristine HICKOK 800K tube tester. My grandfather purchased this brand new and used and very little. He stored it inside its entire life. USN Military HICKOK TV-3B/U Tube Tester. In very good cosmetic condition. This acquired from the estate of a radio repairman. Conditions were not the best for some of these pieces. This one seemed to fare well as far as oxidation goes. though there was a bit of sandy dust I've cleaned from the interior. Changed the 100uf& 1 caps after noticing meter would not deflect under slow power up. Can not get meter to work even after changing rectifiers. Suspect meter is shot, but could be something else? This is an Accurate Instruments Model 151 tube tester. Is in good general overall condition. I put a tube in it and set it per the manual. The tube filament warmed up and the test meter read good. This B K Model 500 tube tester works. I tested 6 tubes with it and got meaningful results. It has a lot of information inside the lid allowing one to test a variety of tubes, but it does not come with the little supplemental handbook. I have seen them sold on eBay for 9.99. It's old and the tolex is a little rough, the handle mounts are rusty and one of the rubber feet is missing, but it has four of the little octal adapters and a fifth one which is a duplicate of the 6BN6-98. Everything I tested worked(well one of my tubes was shot, but that's a different story) but it's used so it's sold as-is with the understanding that it's been around the block a few times. I do not have any tubes to further test the machine but the meter works as it should. The tester is in Good cosmetic condition. All of the original buttons and knobs are present and intact on the tester. The lights on the tester work as they should as well. The tester comes in its original carrying case. The case does show signs of wearing from use over the years but is still intact. I took a lot of pictures to show you what you are receiving. Greetings vintage electronic Lovers, Collectors and Techs! Up for auction are the electronics and face for a Hickok 600A.The entire case has gone missing. I bought this a couple of years ago with a large lot of electronics and meant to have it brought back to operating condition and never got around to it. I bought a 6000A before that happened and its time to pass this one along. As you can see in the pictures there is no case.What you see in the pictures is what you get.The unit is in fairly good cosmetic condition.I vacuumed as much dust of of it as I could.My air compressor is not working and I didn't want to disturb any of the electronic connections so I didn't get all of it. A few things I noticed: First off.This tester does power up! At least two modern capacitors have been installed. ... moreThere is some engraving that suggests the short/ test switch was replaced in 1968 A modern grounded power cord has been added as well. The meter needle moves when the adjustment screw is turned. The tube type information scroll moves freely all the way in both directions. From what I see.There is a good chance that this tester doesn't need much to bring it back to life and a simple wooden box can be built to house it. Original 1953 AVO Valve Data Manual Tubes 4th Edition Here is a the 4th Edition of the popular 1953 AVO Valve Data Manual. Hard to find here in the states. It includes abbreviated instructions of the original AVO Valve Tester along with the Characteristic Testers Mark II.
