Vintage Allied Knight Tube Tester Triplett Meter Old Radio TV Octal Big Pin USA. SOLD AS-IS. This is an old Knight tube tester as sold by Allied Radio. It was made in the USA and while I am not sure of the date I would guess it to be late 1950s. There is no model number on it. Though it appears very similiar to 600 series units I have seen. This vintage unit tests 4, 5, 6 and 7"big pin" tubes as well as octal, loktal, 7& 9 pin miniatures. It is not setup for subminiatures, compactrons or nuvistors. The case measures approximately 14"x10"x6" The unit shows some normal wear and tear, the worst damage being a slight bend to the pointer on the meter(see photos. I checked a few tubes with it and found that some seemed to work fine but others did not show any reading ... moreat all. I suspect a bad connection somewhere, maybe just a dirty switch, but I do not know. LET ME REPEAT.THIS IS SOLD AS-IS. If you have any questions please let me know. This is a 1936 tube tester made by Supreme. This is the deluxe lab portable model. It not only tests tubes but also has a voltmeter. Ohmmeter, and performs leakage tests on capacitors.It's in the origi nal wooden case with handle. Tester is 5 1/2 x 11 1/4 x 12 3/8 and weighs 13 pounds. When adequately packed it will way approximately 17 pounds. It turns o n when p lu gged in. But that is all the testing we have done. It was working when my dad shut down his radio/TV repair business. We aren't familiar with these units. The tester itself looks to be in good vintage condit ion. Here we have a vintage Heathkit Vacuum Tube Voltmeter. Model V-7. The meter is in very good shape. Outside is dusty, inside is very clean, with no battery damage. There are a couple of scuffs on the meter cover, but no cracks or breaks. The ac power cord has tape on the plug end as well. I cannot tell if the meter is accurate, since I do not have the probes, but it does power up when plugged in, as the indicator light comes on. Hickok 750 Calibrated& Everything is Within Specs Works Great All Original Hickok 750 Tube Tester This later model. Which is above serial numbers 149-10.000, has calibration adjustment pots that can be seen in the pictures. The original manual for this tester is included. As well as the Obsolete Tube Types supplement, and the condensed reprint of the roll chart that includes older tubes not on the roll chart. Went through all the calibration steps and checked all the voltage specifications and they were all virtually perfect. The picture with the DMM is showing the line voltage for a 6L6 set at 6.3 volts. And with the 6L6 in the socket the line voltage reads 6.2 volts which is exactly where it should be. The line voltage being correct is critical to obtain proper Gm test results. Many ... moreHickok testers can still be calibrated, but with a tube in the socket the line voltage drops under 6 volts and you get low Gm test readings. The pictures also show a 6L6 calibration tube tube that tests with the exact Gm as the tube and a 6AX7 with that also tests with the correct Gm. The 6L6 is tested for Gm on E, the 15,000 range, the 6AX7 on D the 6000 range, of the function switch(which provides the correct signal voltage) as per the tube data. This is an exceptional Hickok 750 that does not have the typical wear signs around certain knobs and switches and will be delivered ready to use. It is all original with the exception of the 83 and 5y3GT tubes which are as good as new RCA tubes. The Original cord is in great shape and something that can easily be upgrade to a grounded plug. There is a roll chart from 1963 and a manual for this later model of 750 available for free at Bama. The case is in nice shape with some minor marking on the outside and it has the latch to keep the lid open rather than have to take it off. The unit weighs 23 pounds unpacked and we only charge the actual shipping cost and do not add any additional charges for handling or whatever. And there are four pounds in additional tubes. Superior 600 Tube Tester tested in working condition. Pictured testing a 5U4, the meter is not washed out as it looks in the pictures, the glass is picking up white glare from the ceiling, the meter actually looks good, this also has functions for Ohms, Amps and Volts, these functions are untested. No manuals or test leads are included but this is a simple tester to use. I have a photocopy of a Superior 450 manual that I believe is good for this tester I will include, the copy is not very good but most of it is readable, the 450 and the 600 look to be the same tester other than the 600 has the optional functions. The inside panel is a bit dirty and will need cleaned, the wood case and leather handle are good showing normal wear for its age. Description: Up for grabs here is a Precision Apparatus Company Model 912 vacuum tube tester. Cosmetically. It shows lots of wear and there is some surface rust. The wooden enclosure has some dings and scratches on it. Electrically and functionally, it seems fine. The internal wiring is aged but still complete and intact and the two pronged power cable is whole and solid. There is a 9 pin adapter for tubes like the enduring 12AX7. The adapter cable jacketing is cracked but the internal wires are still good. Included with this test is a large amount of original documentation from the late 40s to the late 60s. The unit seemed to belong to Carl Howard of Schenectady. NY. His address is printed on several of the documents. The documentation includes operating instructions, schematics, tube charts ... morewith updates, and even special offers for purchasing stereo kits. Vintage 1944 Hickok 510X Tube Tester with VOM In fair to good condition. Original tube chart paper reel is included separate(Sorry, forgot to include in photo) I added a used 2 prong cord and kept the original plug. Brought this up slowly to 60 volts on my variac.it powered up but something smoked inside a little so I turned it off Calibration and/or further electric restoration or troubleshooting recommended. Includes a Zenith 5Y3 as well as(2) RCA Radiotron 6H6's. The mercury vapor rectifier tube(83) is not included. Just checked and a 5Z3 I believe was in it's place, not marked on tube) which I have removed(though pictured) it is not included and may have been the cause of the tester smoking? Hickok TV-7/U Military Tube Tester Working& Very Nice Conditon all Within SPECS Hiclok TV-7/U Military Tube Tester Works very good and installed new JAN 83 and 5y3GT rectifiers. Would normally say it was calibrated. But according to the manual, it was only tested& adjusted. Bias voltages all within specs, 22, 50, 75, and 100. The plate voltage was checked according to the manual, with a 375k resistor parallel from the cathode to the plate, pin 6& 3, and it is right at 150 volts and specs call for 150 volts. The high screen voltage used the same resistor on pins 6& 4 and was at 129 volts and specs call for 130 + or– 3 volts. The low screen voltage was checked and at 56 and specs call for 56 volts. Also, checked the line voltage with a 6L6 in the socket and it is at 6.1 volts. ... moreThis was all in the manual and all the manuals and updated tube data can be found here: Tested a 6L6 and there are pictures of that test below and the data says the minimum for a 6L6 is 25 and this one tests at 35. The meter reads on a 0– 120 scale and I am sure there is a way to convert to Gm. But that info was not included in any of the manuals. Interior reference chart is in pristine condition. All the interior labels are bright and clean. Exterior of case has some rusting particularly on latch. I have used this tester for over 10 years without fault to test my Western Electric tubes. I am selling the last of my Western Electric tubes and I no Longer have need of this tester. I use my TV-7 and Triplett 3444. It comes in a black case supplied by W.E.CO[see photo] rather than the aluminum case. The case has a ding on the bottom courtesy of the last shipper but does not affect operation. See photo. This is my daily tester for triodes and rectifiers. This Precision Model 640 I picked up from the estate of a fellow who used to work on old radios. I am offering it for parts or repair. Right now it is non functioning. I've plugged it in and couldn't get it to do much of anything. If I toggle the on/off switch I can see the short light flicker. This Tube tester was part of my fathers collection. He restored antique radios. I tested a known good 12au7 tube with it and it passed all tests. I learned how to test tubes from my father as a kid. Up for sale is a very nicely maintained Superior Vacuum Tube Tester. Model TC-55. I don't have any way to test thise, as I am not a Ham or CB enthusiast. However, this came from the estate of a serious Ham operator and it was all set up in his radio room, so it appears to have been working when purchased.
