The first unit is a CTI(Now Herley) P/N# VFSR-1203-1 REV A multiple PLL frequency synthesizer that generates a RF frequency output of 98– 112MHz with a smallest step size of 125KHz. It operates on 5Vdc and 24Vdc and requires an external 5MHz reference signal. This 98– 112MHz RF signal is fed to the reference input of the second unit. Which is a CTI(now Herley) P/N# A-5349-1 cavity stabilized, phase locked frequency synthesizer that operates on 24Vdc. The RF output frequency range of this synthesizer is 4.750– 5.360GHz and the output frequency tracks the reference input.
